How about GM Lost Sectors ?

So I'm farming the Lost Sector yesterday to get the Dawn Chorus, but jeez almost 40 runs and nothing. But hey I've got 5 Apotheosis Veils... That got me an idea. I don't mind putting some work into the game, but I really hate to much RNG. So how about Lost Sectors with GM difficulty. The enemies gonna be 25 levels higher than you, more champions, you have to do it flawless... Now, after killing the boss you get a token, something like Spoils of Conquest. You need 3 (or more) tokens to buy a specific exotic armor piece from the boss chest. Definitely you have to put some work, but atleast it's more deterministic.

    Not a bad idea! It’d be pretty cool to have a solo endgame-level challenge like that

  • Well if it’s any consolation, dawn chorus is trash anyway. It’s been bad since 3.0 nerfed solar into the floor.

    • How bout we just up the drop rate of exotics, cuz that's about all anyone does these for, and not make it even more arbitrarily harder than it already is

    • 1/2 decent idea. The good 1/2? Your suggestion seems like it could work. The bad 1/2? It would require Bungo to do some actual work.

      Why does it need to be so convoluted? GM-style Lost Sector, no flawless requirement, no tokens, limited revives, get the goods, done.

    • I'm very sorry to say but Dawn Chorus is bugged and doesn't drop in lost sectors anymore. Has been like that for a good while.

    • That system can be applied for any RNG-based content in the game, with yhe number of tokens needed depending on the difficulty, with many possibilities. Like, for example: - 1 token drops per champion, a chest requires 1 token to pull a random reward. Every consecutive pull gives better loot. Final possible token at highest difficulty gives a guaranteed exotic, while others prior to it only increase the chance. - certain number of tokens per completion, bronze would give 1, silver 3, gold 5, platinum 8, and the chest in legend costs 10 to open. Higher difficulty chests have reduced cost. (Numbers subject to discussion.) - Completion only gives tokens (higher diff. gives more, platinum gives the most), and Zavala is a vendor that sells exotics in exchange for certain amount of tokens. There can be more options, these are just my suggestion.
