Gambit match quality discussion

Greetings, I would like to open a discussion about gambit and the ways matchmaking in gambit works. I would also like to hear your ideas about how to improve it, and your opinions about the ideal state of the matchmaking. Keep in mind, that I don't play gambit a lot. I just do my 3 weekly games and then I am finished, so take my experience with a grain of salt and please don't flame me a lot. I will start with saying, that Gambit is a specific mode in Destiny 2 universe, because it is the only mode, which combines PvP and PvE aspects of the game. While it sounds interesting in theory, it creates a lot of criteria for the team to be met, in order to be victorious. As a result it creates frustration and bad experience, when your team heavily underperfoms in one of them. First of all, the team needs to have as many people as possible with efficient PvE loadout, to be able to get motes fast and to kill the final boss asap. Those people also need have a basic PvP sense of taking cover, to not be an easy prey for the enemy invader. On top of that you need to have a decent PvP player, who is able to take down enemy invaders and halt the enemy team's progress through invasions. Don't forget that your whole team needs to have a good coordination and strategy. I've seen many players, who invaded the enemy team while holding 15 motes. I also witnessed many players who completely ignored the enemy invader. Those might be good PvP and PvE players, but they are simply bad gambit players. Which leads me to conclusion, that matchmaker needs to take a lot of factors into consideration to create a decently balanced lobby. It is easier to do in crucible, trials or Iron banner, where the only factors you can compare is KD and winrate. What criteria would you say are the most important for gambit? I have a feeling that whatever criteria matchmaker currently uses, do not lead to balanced games. Every game feels one sided. For example, one team gets PvP god, who kills 15 Guardians during a game, while the other simply gets none...
