Bungie should ban players that kick other players at the end of the activity

This is spoiling the experience of Raiding through LFG groups. I just had my first experience. If you put up an LFG, it means that you are willing to be patient. Not saying that I'm a bad player but even an experienced entering an group of clan members is not that easy as they have their different ways of communications. (and I found out I had more raid clears than them)

  • It's their fireteam. Not yours. They can kick you if they want to. You are not entitled to being able to stay

    • What about just making a change where kicking members of a Fireteam is not possible during an encounter or X amount of time after the end of boss fight? The only place the griefers would kick you is AFTER you helped do something and BEFORE you collect a reward. They would not kick you before a boss fight starts as they would be down in firepower and/or ability to cleanly do rotation type stuff that requires a lot of separate people, and they would try and kick you as soon as it's over or VERY near over to stop you getting rewards. It would allow you to finish a major encounter and get rewards every single time. Since there is zero logic in kicking someone just moments before a major combat is about to start or kick them after everything is all over and the actual loot is pouring out, the only use of kicks at that exact point in time is grief usage. It would still mean you might do one boss fight and get rewards then get kicked - maybe to annoy you, or maybe they were unhappy with your performance for <reasons> but at least it's not costing you anywhere near as much.

    • No one is ever going to get banned for this. And like the eager edge/ shoulder charge posts, this is WICKED smart to post on the forums crying about. There is no way that this could possibly make more people want to do it so increase the tears.

    • They won’t lmfaoooo I do it all the time. Once I get my rewards I wait couple minutes (so they can get there rewards) then I kick them from my team.

      • Kicking someone at the end of a raid before completion for no actual offense is griefing and should be reportable and punishable. But you're wrong that posting an LFG means you are willing to be patient. As long as the LFG is clear and states up front that it's not a carry or a teaching raid, etc, then no, they don't have to be patient. If the expectations are stated clearly upfront and you still join, that's on you. But if they just kicked you for the lolz, then yes, I agree you should be able to report them for griefing and have some form of punishment available, even if it's not just straight to a ban the first time.

      • Banning people for today is just stupid. The best solution for this problem is RAID MATCHMAKING that has been asked for since D1’s launch.

        • They do. Send in a video or post game report and they'll look into it and more often than not they end up banning the person who kicked you

          •
If you put up an LFG, it means that you are willing to be patient.
Yeah... no. That's not true at all. If I post a KWTD quick run raid LFG that means what the title says. Quick run, don't come in waste people's time. If you -blam!- up too much I will kick you for wasting time. Not just D2, do it in FFXIV too in PF. If I post a 'learning' or sherpa than yeah I'm going to be far more patient with screw ups.
(and I found out I had more raid clears than them)
Irrevelant fact. You can do reclears fast doesn't mean anything when the most important part of raiding is showing consistancy and learning speed when progging.

            • My clanmate did a no-mic legendary Dare yesterday through LFG. The leader booted all 5 teammates just before they killed the boss. There are legit reasons to kick people, but I'd be okay with a ban in his case.

Question is why did they? Ive done it to people treating others like garbage amd talking crap to them. Never seen it done to anyone that was just there playing and pulling thier load. If you went in and let them and force them to carry you then i could see that as well. I routinely go onto a 5 stack of a clan and never once did i have issues and normally get asked the next week. They need help, missing 1 person so kicking a decent no drama player at the end seems a bit fetched. Maybe...but once a blue moon. I send friend requests to people that help so if i need em the next week or alt runs.

              •
If you put up an LFG, it means that you are willing to be patient.
Unless the LFG says "Chill" or "Willing to teach" you are making a presumption. While I don't condone kicking someone AFTER the activity is completed, I will not hesitate to kick someone that is either toxic or not listening. You only posed one side of the argument. What were you doing that you felt was the reason you were kicked? Were you dying more than other people? Were you missing callouts? Were you toxic? I'm genuinely asking, not trolling, because I've never been part of a group that kicked me for no reason. Not saying it doesn't happen. Just saying that it's rare. And by using your quote above, I feel like you're leaving part of the story out.

The fireteam leader leads the raid and will kick fireteam members if there are potential problems. Back in the day, I was kicked numerous times and I didn't care because I was still learning or I wasn't good enough. Prestige Leviathan, boss encounter, I've witnessed many people being kicked because they were not good enough or they had issues and were not prepared to listen. Being kicked is not necessarily a bad thing but it's part of the game. As you become familiar with raiding format, being kicked isn't a problem. Just ignore it and carry on. Reach out to people and forget any bad experience. Bungie should not ban people who kick fireteam members. Bungie should ban PVP cheaters.

only solution is to fullfill the promise made on pre-beta marketing of having matchmaking in all activities. the result is exactly the same of LFG with random ppl, but without the risk of being banned, and losing years of work, because somebody you dont even know cheats or lags. at least create a checkpoint after raid bosses, so that, if you get kicked in the end you can go back to the end of raid vendor.

Creating an LFG team doesn’t automatically equate to having a willingness to be patient lol. Nor should anyone assume such things. The only time that statement would be even remotely true is if the group was created and labelled as a “Sherpa Run”.

                  • I'm not trying to downplay anyone's experience but from my experience the only time this has happened was from guys coming in and trying to boss players around, no mics and from those ADD kids who can't stop talking. Conduct yourself like a mature adult and problems shouldn't occur. If you're constantly being booted at the end of an activity I strongly suggest you take a deep breath and think back on your behavior during said activity. If you truly believe you're innocent and there was absolutely no reason for them to boot you, then chalk it up too extra experience and don't let the A holes bother you. I promise if you play this game long enough it won't be the last time you meet awful human beings.

                    • Kicking should be disabled after an encounter is started and no enabled again until there is a wipe That said someone putting up an LFG does not mean they have to be patient in the slightest there's no rule or obligations when creating an LFG post
