Too many rules to be fun.

[b]Actually.[/b] [u]Joining Nightfall or Lost Sector:[/u] Please equip champions mods, remove your own mods for arms, please ruin your build and equip champions mods. [u]Then you equip champion mods[/u] You can't equip the weapons you like, please equip weapons that can use champions mods. [u]Equipping weapons that use champions mods[/u] The weapons you picked can't be used, please pick weapons that match the enemy elemental shield and can use champions mods in a very specific way that you can fit all our rules, otherwise you can't "enjoy" your game. [u]Equipping all the bs[/u] Nice, now you can have "fun" playing against glitched enemies while doing our infinite loop called content to [i]maybe, i mean, very maybe[/i] get some exotic or whatever you want. Bungie, are you really sure that you know what fun is?

  • I think in legendary content it's ok but anything master or above it's out right restricting. I mean grandmaster content is hard enough without all these rules as to what you can and cannot use. Very annoying indeed. There should be more options. Seems there are not enough of them currently. Would be nice to have more champion mods that stun them on ability hit too like nades for example. If I can use any nade to stun an overload that would be very helpful. We need more weapons like arablest that have champion perks and maybe a few legendary ones wouldn't hurt.

  • Not to mention the anti-barrier sniper costing SIX energy. As if it wasn’t enough that we need to use a specific weapon and also take up a mod slot. Nah, make the single mod also cost more than half your armor’s energy. That’ll balance it.

  • Yea I don't mind the champions but please allow us to fight them the way we want. Also mods definitely should be slotted into weapons it just makes more sense. This system is a little too restrictive.

  • Don't forget, they lock your loadout, so if you forgot to equip the proper mod you have to quit and start all over.

    • They need to just make a new arms mod that says "use this seasonal arms mod which requires you to use every gun you absolutely think is boring and not fun just so a nightfall group you join can kick you for not using the meta 3 seasonal weapons that are ridiculously broken, also are you enjoying all your exotics that you literally never get to use?"

      I really like champion mods because they stop me from using the same overpowered thing every time but I will give you credit the mods this season are terrible particularly for overload and unstopable

    • I cant stand the repetitive nature of the seasonal story content. I know its a few games of the seasonal event but man after 4 weeks its really no fun at all.

      • Agree 100%. Have just about had enough of Master Ketch etc and having to deal with all the enemies with a bow and scout. Enough. It's not fun and terribly boring. It feels like work not a game to relax and enjoy.

        Take this bump for being a real one. Champions should be random enemies that show up during game play like a high value target or champion from DOE. Diablo 3 Treasure Goblin is a Champion enemy to me. A champion should be a hard enemy to defeat with any loadout but grants unique and tremendous loot. There should be a modifier designed specifically for it in all activities. Champion for Gambit, Nightfall and Dungeons could drop double exotics and XP upon defeat. Another week or day it could drop an unique ritual or crafted weapon. This current system is hot garbage and lazy. Feels like some stolen idea from Division or something.

              It's not called rules, it's called control, and Bungie is obsessed with controlling how their player base plays their game. Can't have you burning through their little next to nothing at all content, now can we?

            • Ohh you still don´t know? There´s no fun in this Game,we aren´t alowed to have fun! It´s just infinite grind without proper reward,boring repetitive activities,Pinnacle cr*p (yeah this one is a really joke),expensive upgrades and so on...

                  Yep its a game about being all powerful, but not too powerful. Its about customization, but all the activities you literally level up and customize for, and test for say [i]"nope, got to use this other stuff instead"[/i] so why even build in the first place then? If my build has to be compromised for endgame activities, or I can only use specifics, then remove building entirely because its really the only place we actually need an optimal build for our playstyle, and its a pointless game feature if it cannot be utilized in full for endgame activities. Any good developer would understand this. Limitations are for those that want way more challenge. Its a special smaller group of people, not the majority. Every base level activity from Strikes to GM to raids should be the hard endgame difficulty it is, that's easily accessible to everyone. They should have one extra high, ultimate difficulty version of those high level activities for those that are that desperately masochistic enough to play, that gives whatever limitations (all of them why not? Rotate modifiers by match) and only awards cosmetics or titles, and nothing more, because true skilled players recognize their level is way higher, so they only play for the challenge and don't require special loot. However, there is also the matter of the players who nobody can control, so all of that [i]"must have_________ to join"[/i] as much as its complete nonsense, can't be helped unless Bungie removes LFG completely. Demands can't be made if it doesn't exist. That's really the only solution that can be offered to avoid this stuff.

                • Expect this to change, years down the line. After all it's taken 8 years for a in game lfg, gaurdian comandations, and more to be announced as upcoming standard features. I genuinely love ya bungue but your equally on par with the mountins you wanna climb, as your comparable to launch day cyberpunk.

                • There’s only like five things in the game that need you to use champion mods and correct elements and it’s only three activities and their very highest difficulties. All things meant to challenge you and force you to adapt to those limitations. GMs, master raids, soloing lost sectors, and master level Nightfalls(you can get away without matching elements in legend level). So you’re complaining that in very high level pve activities it tests your skills? Oh what a horrible thing. None of this effects 90% of the game. What a stupid complaint.

                    It's almost like Master/Grandmaster difficulty isn't made with player fun in mind and the restrictions are there for difficulty purposes. Anyway, fun is subjective.

                    I think they need to ditch champs and just come up with unique enemies with unique abilities and attacks that require unique strategy and team work. If the best way you can implement challenge is to suddenly dictate what a player can and can’t use in a loot game, then I think you’ve failed on some level. Restricting what the player normally is capable of and can use isn’t legitimate challenge. It’s just a needlessly artificial way of imposing it.

                    • These guys can’t design a good game mechanic anymore. They make an enemy do this, and then make a particular gun do this. Then they call it build crafting. Haha! Lame. Game is beyond laughable.🤣
