Linear Fusion Rifles...you really mean too well

There are 2 types of engagers: Engagers who weigh things up thoroughly before jumping into a gunfight; And there are "Wannabe" Engagers who act mindlessly and simply challenge everything. With the weapon type of the Linear Fusion Rifles you reward the latter engager type. And I think this sends the wrong signal. A talented engager is characterized by the fact that he or she is capable of a realistic self-assessment; this is ultimately the qualitative characteristic of intelligent gameplay. It simply should not pay to engage in "stupid engagement". But that's exactly what Linear Fusion Rifles do by pushing damage like a sniper, and that's been a hair-raising decision on your part. Now practically everyone can be an engager, great! But does it make it more fun? Nope. If everybody can engage, nobody wants to be a supporter anymore and this kills the teamplay. Yikes! You should row back here for the sake of the game fun and hand over the weapon type instead of engagers to the supporters - let's call it affectionately - "as a teamworker utensil". This could look something like this: .... •body hits from Linear Fusion Rifles only weaken enemies instead of killing them directly •head hits from a Linear Fusion Rifle only slow down enemies instead of killing them directly •2 body hits scored by a Linear Fusion Rifle kill enemies directly •2 head hits from a Linear Fusion Rifle kill enemies directly and explode them additionally Imagine this: From now on Supporters can support again and Engagers can make very important decisions

  • Great ideas, but this realistically would kill the use of linear fusion rifles over snipers. Lorentz is extremely annoying due to its exotic perk sucking others in and doing damage to them, but statistically it’s not very different from other popular snipers. In pvp, but trials specifically, lorentz is the only linear that sees relatively high useage rates, but it sees about a third to a quarter of the usage compared to even beloved. The changes are great on paper, but in practice it would only make players go to snipers instead. Anything that A linear fusion rifle may have going for it popular snipers do also. Their aim assist, zoom, handling and flinch tend to all be pretty similar, only thing lorentz really has going for it is it’s exotic perk that’s a juiced up version of dragonfly.
