Cheating in PvP
Feels like every game I enter is just littered with cheaters. I can't have fun in any PvP game because every time I die I ask myself. was I outplayed there or was this person cheating? It's honestly so bad in this game and I know people cheat in every game but it almost feels like its accepted in Destiny 2. I report players and see the same people game after game

3 RepliesProbably 99% of the time it's the p2p connection bungie uses. I've punched 3 times emptied half a clip of smg then got killed when the guardian turned around and one hit punched me. Then a couple minutes later that same guardian can be killed as normal.

1 ReplyI've always wondered how much the cheat system is getting clogged, by guys that false report, simply because they cant win their 1s. False reporting should be a ban, as well.

I report players and see the same people game after game[/quote] Took a two month break from destiny and moved to apex. Tried playing today and probably the worse pvp experience I’ve had. Or maybe not, I was just so use to it I never noticed it. While I’m sure there is a lot of cheaters and strike packs, the problem is the lack of SBMM and the absolute amount of cheese. Entire map cover in witherhoard, grenades, glaives everywhere and jotünn. The entire pvp game play is centered around how can I win without aiming my gun. It’s terrible. A absolute clear contrast from an actual pvp shooter. I say this with a heavy heart, leave destiny pvp for apex or even COD. After taking a step back and getting a clear perspective that wasn’t clouded by 7 years of devotion I’ve realized destiny in the pvp genre can hardly be considered a FPS. Like I said the entire point of pvp currently is how to kill while barley shooting ur gun. Even when apex had their own control game mode the map was 4X the size of destiny maps with only 3 extra players on each team. 0 OHK weapons with an overwhelming balanced sandbox. Oh and despite the extremely larger size there is bullet travel distance and bullet drop. I’m sorry but destiny pvp just ain’t where it’s at. Apex has significantly more cheaters but despite that the game feel a million times better than current destiny. And it’s only gonna get worse as arc 3.0 comes out.

Edited by Dr. Squirrel Nutz: 8/21/2022 4:26:38 PMI think the only time I think I saw a cheater was with a player hitting 95% of their Lorentz Driver headshots, and they had like 55 kills with it that game. However, they could have just insane skills with crazy reaction time. Who am I to judge? 🤣

Cheating use to be worse before the anti cheat, you might see a few but there's no where as many as you make it sound

Are you really playing against cheaters? Do you just suck? Is it a genuine sh!t connection? (Bungie should have gotten dedicated servers years ago) -
Does anyone know if Bungie, Microsoft or Sony are planning on banning the use of 3rd party devices from their games? If not, what would it be like to have the same software as these devices built into the actual console? This would eliminate the need for the 3rd party devices and would allow for an even playing field. Any thoughts?

Well when there is undetectable hax, why wouldn't people cheat? Bunng!3 has gameboy level security. You literally can't get caught unless someone just following you around the whole time.

I haven’t played d2 in a few weeks, but this is the most pvp I’ve played in years, and tbh I can’t say I can recall playing against cheaters. I’ve been mopped and lost more than I won, but those players were just god tier.
