My fellow Warlocks

Lets not jump the shark with arc 3.0, the truth is solar got cut a little but we don't know if arc will be the same. People didn't think solar hunter was going to be this strong but the fragments made their subclass, so lets wait before we start judging arc 3.0.

It's literally in the NOTES OF SOLAR 3.0 how strong Hunters are gonna be. Reading COMPREHENSION people. hence why there are people asking Bungie if play-testing happened, or were they so close to the Date of Release again, they crunched hours and forced out the Arc 3.0 without updates. It's not wrong for people to provide critical feedback when most -blam!- Arc 3.0 realized they repeated Void and Solar process; "Delay, delay. Make a news report for good pr. Delay, delay. Some more good pr, and a fundraiser. Then freaked out cause they had to crunch content release."

  • Solar warlock is strong. The problem is the weak super and the healer got nerfed.

      Half of the complains aren’t necessarily about the rework being bad, hell I doubt anything will be as bad as what happened to dawnblade. Many of the complains about the warlock rework is that it feels [b]lazy[/b] when compared to the hunter and Titan reworks. They described arc warlocks as “lightning shamans” but didn’t do much to help that fantasy. They could have leaned harder into the teleportation abilities from ionic blink and the new melee to create a kind of hit-and-run playstyle or they could have leaned towards long range lightning casting like traditional ball lightning. Hell, that one Titan aspect that buffs grenades feels like it’s storm grenade affect would have been perfect as a new warlock ability. It feels like they didn’t really lean into either direction and instead gave a very lukewarm combination of the two that doesn’t really specialize in much beyond basic ad clear.

          • Here's my take on it. This looks exactly like solar 3.0 on the surface. Just like in solar 3.0, warlock abilities were carved up like a turkey and passed around to the other classes. Then, just like in solar, Bungie waved a fancy new melee ability in front of our eyes to serve as a distraction from the fact that so much was taken from us. This lightning teleportation is the equivalent to the Mustang Finger Snap. I hope I am wrong, but it seems as if history is repeating itself here. I will not be surprised if we log in on Tuesday to find other aspects of arc 3.0 nerfing us further, just like in solar 3.0 The butchering of Phoenix Dive is a prime example. They not only gave it a rift cooldown, which makes it ridiculously unusable, but even had it *replace* a rift. None of this asked for, and it coming completely out of nowhere. People like to say "wait and see," but Bungie has a pattern of doing things like this. I am not expecting much from this new ability, to be honest. It sounds like the titan consecration ability, and we see how often that's used. In exchange, we lose out on our unique abilities, all so that titans and hunters can feel special. We get no new super, no new grenade usage-- titans get it for some reason-- and we are still the only class that doesn't have a ohk ability, which is just dumb considering hunters kept their knife, and titans can ohk with a shoulder charge and exotic. Again, I hope I am wrong, but considering what happened with solar 3.0, I think warlock mains are justified to be skeptical about these changes.

            • My take is that while it seems alright, pending Arc Souls getting a bigger PvE buff and the supers being buffed. I'm still miffed that Warlocks are giving up stuff that's part of their identity for other classes.

                • That really goes without saying. We can read however and they weren't shy with details. Much of exclusivity and identity is gone (3 things specifically: Blink, Arc Web, Ionic Traces). That's a loss after a big Solar NERF after a FULL YEAR of Shatterdiving no less. Even if the consolidated Super Storm with Landfall and usual Arc buddy is balanced - if - then they seemed to have completely forgotten about interest levels, identity and exclusivity and anything of new exclusivity, and Lorelly and Omnioculus with nothing comparable, and morale. Going by their details, it's all resting on one sliding melee. It better be OP hot-shiz, that's all I can say.

                • at this point i am just holding out hope that the Electrostatic Mind aspect is going to give us three fragment slots and the other aspects two slots, and Juggernaut and the titan grenade aspect give them one slot, other wise the classes will be completely unmatched and unbalanced.

                  • we literally can never take advantage of amplified's speed boost while in our super because we can't sprint, it gets replaced by ionic blink, but both hunter and titan can so expect full speed arc staff and fist of havoc

                    • Warlocks not realizing how strong 100% arc traces on ability kills is going to be. Then combine wells with traces and you got 100% uptime on abilities. Also most likely we will get an ...arc traces count as ellemental wells..mod...same as stasis shards.. for even better buildcrafting. Meanwhile i am over here hoping the new hunter super will be good... Arcstrider is add clear...so i hope the new super is like quiver and blade barrage ...a boss damage super. Also..very sad that a thrown arcstaff most likely will not work with... Raiden flux. Blight ranger. Raijuu's harness. It might only work with stat eater scales. Part of me hopes hunters get a new exotic for their new super or bungie reworks blight ranger to do that...because blight ranger is beautifull but useless. Warlocks with that xur 70 roll crown of tempest will be awesome. Or even with karnstein armlets and that new slide melee. Or new slide melee +corruption gloves. Because if melee chain lightning counts as a melee then everything will be poisoned.

                    • I’ll say this again, just because other classes are getting certain traits doesn’t mean that Warlocks are inferior now. They’re still the class that specializes in chaining and Ionic Traces since they have more abilities dedicated to that than everyone else. Look at Void. Everyone can use Volatile, Invisibility and Devour now, but Titans, Hunters and Warlocks excel in those respectively because they have abilities dedicated to that. Arc will be no different.

                        I'll be happy to be back on my Arc Soul/Get Away Artist PvP build with the once again buffed Arc Souls. I can safely say they'll be a -blam!- menace ruining every 1v1 duel. I can't wait. Even after Solar 3.0 was solved I thought it was a rather lack luster season. Hopefully it's different this time.

                        • It's as simple as this. If they are gonna give entire new super for hunter cause spinny stick sucks then they could at least fix chaos reach and maybe add a little something to that super to make it more fun. At this rate the game is boring and if your a warlock main your not excited at all. Chaos reach sucks and it deserves a rework or new super just ad much as spin to win. They should have done more for warlock and a bit more for titan if the hunter gets an all new super. So whatever.

                          • Just because titan or warlock are strong doesn't matter. Hunter gets a brand new super. That's the point. If they had done that for all three classes people wouldn't be so upset. The game needs it. Something new that's the point. Period.

                          • I keep posting the main part of Warlock Arc 3,0. Warlocks get more buffs out of being amplified than Hunters or Titans. We’ve only been given a couple examples and they sound powerful. I’m looking forward to Arc 3,0. I’ll reserve judgment until after I try it multiple ways in PVE and PVP.

                            I'm excited for arc 3.0 curious to see the fragments we can use the aspects eh the fact they didn't butcher Ionic traces and merged the key super aspects for triple fingers/sith lightning is already great only thing I want is a buff to chaos reach of some sort in pve since warlocks don't have a top tier burst dps option really.

                              • I’m not worried it is going to be weak. Even if it is weaker than Hunter and Titan it won’t be weak. Maybe the melee will cracked. But it reads like a Titan ability. Though if stasis Titan melee is anything to go on it will be so middling, that the cool down will be too long to use it for mobility, and the damage will be too minimal to use in high level PvE and PvP without looking like a suicidal maniac zooming to their death.

                              • Unfortunately our counterparts will continue to complain. Warlocks aren't minority because they are bad but because they are just a complex class while hunters are simple and titan is a balanced all arounder. I personally am happy about the changes only issue arc is gonna have is risk runner which will negate an entire subclass and glaive shield strength.
