I don't know who needs to hear this - I haven't been playing this game long, but as someone who got lost in the dust constantly in strikes because I didn't know where I was going or what to do; I see you, level 4. Maybe you're just levelling up your alts for the new builds, or you're new to the game, but I've got you! If you see my nametag:
* I am gonna slow down until you catch up. The person zerging ahead of us can die mad. We're going together.
*if I can get back to rez you, I will fight through every mob possible to do so. Just hang tight. (caveat, if it's a jumping puzzle, sorry, press E, I suck at those!)
*if we wipe - and we prob will at some point, because I'm not good at all of these strikes either - I am NOT gonna give up. We will tackle it again.
Just to reassure some folks I see who keep dying over and over again and who quit in embarrassment or frustration even while I was trying to get back to rez you again - I get it. Hard same. I didn't do strikes for ages for the same reason, but we've got this. It gets easier the more you do it, I promise. You aren't inconveniencing me and it's fine. It's the only way to learn, and if you think I know what I'm doing all the time, come witness the embarrassment when I try to do the Prison or the Corrupted. Ugh.
I've been trying to hang back and go at the pace of lower level players, let them get the big kills, take out all the smaller stuff so they can be the one to make the boss die, and generally trying to help folk stay on their feet. It's hard being new in this game, so I'll do my best if I see you struggling.
** For those who are just sitting in the back letting us do all the work...I see you. And I'll remember. You'll be the last person I ever rez in any scenario.

Nice to see enthusiastic and cheerful posts on this forum. The game is 100% more awesome when played with people who aren't all about themselves and are willing to help others. I'm mostly a solo player, but I do like to help people when I can. If there's anyone out there that needs a hand with anything, feel free to message me, I'm online every day.

You would wanna get it done as quickly as possible aswell if you had to play the same uninspired garbage strikes for 8 damn years. They literally are incapable of keeping the core playlists fresh, which is why we are stuck with this ancient content. NOONE with a straight mind who played the game for more than a hundred hours would actually enjoy these still.
-
People really expect me to not speed run strikes when the playlist has been unchanged for 4 years. All they did was remove content and added Midgrounds. Like tf? I ain’t bot walkin that shi ☠️☠️☠️
-
The lack of self awareness is astounding. Maybe people are just trying to get away from you?

Tell us your sub par without telling us your sub par.

I. Am. Speed.

Yeah, i'm more on the other side of the spectrum. Let me show you what true power is and when i pull your dead body to the next area i will teabag you. Its not a hate teabag though its a love teabag <3

cringe post.

Congratulations? No one plays strikes anyways
-
I’ll never understand the logic behind getting mad at people that play strikes/kill things more efficiently than other people.

New lights add entertainment to these old strikes. Had one running a warlock with blink on the corrupted. Laughed all 50 times I revived them 🤣
-
There are still New Lights coming to the game? I thought the awful new player experience would scare them all away to be honest. It's hard to recommend this game to new players since they shelved the Red War
-
That last line made me laugh out loud cause I know exactly how you feel and I’m the same way
-
What a refreshing post to see.
-
I just wish Bungie put in the option for us to run the strike playlist solo. There's a script on PC that blocks matchmaking but it causes the game to crash in the strike playlist after 15-30 mins of playtime.

Thank you!

Loading in to help now. New Lights add me.
-
I’m fairly seasoned and I always go as fast as the slowest member of the strike. I’m always up to looking after any new lights in strikes. 👍

Unsung heroes
-
Hit me up if you ever need another gun to train someone. I won’t speedrun. Their learning doesn’t inconvenience me. I may even learn something. Let’s kill every thing on the map. Let’s die and revive. It’s meant to be fun. The pinnacle can go to hell. Game is grindy enough. As long as they’re shooting and trying, I don’t care how long it takes.
-
This is an awesome thing. Whenever I see a lower level or someone in an activity I try and go slower and even show hidden things cause I feel it strengthens the community.
-
Good post. 👍 I know as a solo player, if I match up with people who I work well with and we all end up running fast, then cool. I do try to be aware if someone is slower at the game like myself, or seems to be dying more often, or needs a little extra help. I know that I try to go res them when possible. I am always glad to see teammates do the same for me, so I will try for them. I will wait for teammates if I actually get a head of them. I do remember when I was new at the game and didn’t know how anything really worked. How many cliffs did I fall off because I didn’t know how to jump. 🙄 Anyways great post!

Edited by BozzyTheDrummer: 8/18/2022 1:12:45 PMI love seeing low level players in strikes. Whether they’re new lights or just returning players, I find it a lot of fun. I’ll wait for them to catch up, grab their revives and whatnot. Usually they’ll dance or emote at the end. It’s always a good time. Sometimes if you’re lucky, you’ll pair with them for 2 to 3 strikes. It’s always heart breaking when the next strike loads and they aren’t there anymore lmao

I see you, and what you're saying, and i salute you.

Boom. Much love my guy
