So, does anybody else think that the "Lighning Surge" on the new Warlock belongs on the Titan, and the "Touch of Thunder" on the Titan belongs on the Warlock?
Don't get me wrong: I can see why the Devs might not want to fall into the stereotype of "Slide Melee = Titan," but the stated abilities just seem a bit mismatched. Anybody else?

The tank class “needs” an air dodge
-
No. Warlocks already got an aspect for enhanced grenades with Solar, and Hunters got one with Stasis. It's the Titans' turn.
-
should we call this mashup wartan or titlock
-
Lol no I want it to be broken so hunters can cry
-
It's somewhat of a rework of top tree Striker's double grenades perk, except it just buffs them all. Think of them as a crowd control, front lines, shock trooper Titan
-
Titan is the Warrior class. They stand at the front lines and as bungo put it "kick down the door." Warlock is the mage class. Mages keep their distance in battle and rain havoc from afar. So yes, you are correct.
-
I’m glad they did this. I’m looking forward to being ball lightning.

My question is why does it only effect 4 grenades? What about Arc Bolt and the Flux Grenade? 🤷🏼♂️

Edited by WulfPak666: 8/19/2022 10:01:13 PMI rarely if ever see any class using their slide melee abilities after the first week or so in pvp or PvE so I see it being the least used aspect of Arclok. It's gonna be arc buddy and jolt boosty all day.
-
Top tree Striker Titan has two perks than buff your grenades and since both Warlock and Hunter already have grenade enhancing Aspects, I expected Touch of Thunder to happen.
-
I feel like transforming into a ball of lightening and teleport is more of a Warlock thing.
-
The Warlock melee is a teleport. Titans can't teleport unless they're playing on a potato. Also I'm assuming that's the enhanced grenades and Titans are the only only class without enhanced grenades so they needed it. Warlocks have two, hunters have one, and now titans get one too
-
Just you. Every class now has an aspect for buffed nades. And a titan stransforming into a ball of lightning doesnt fit the titan lore. Warlocks litterally turned into lightning with their stormcaller unlock in D1.
-
Arc titan were always strong with their grenade even back in D1 It seem fitting to me
-
hunters had enhanced stasis nades warlocks had either solar or void, i forget which titans are the only class to not have enhanced grenades
-
Top tree arc titans kit is all about nades, it’s not a mix up
-
Edited by LoITheMan: 8/18/2022 11:52:50 PMI think the “improve Grenade” thing is what happens whenever Bungie runs out of ideas. It is fit to the class not by being a grenade upgrade, but which and how it upgrades them.
-
Doesn’t top tree striker have a perk that buffs your grenades tho? It makes sense why it Titans are getting the better arc Grenades aspect.

-
I agree.
-
Touch of Thunder does feel like a Warlock thing considering the past 2 subclass updates, but I'm also down with Lightning Surge being a Warlock ability since it sounds like the Arc version of Nova Bomb, just toned down a bit to be used as a melee ability.
-
Titans are the punchy bois so 1hko melee belongs souly to them but they way the abilitys are set up(slide or charge) should be turned arround. But I see why this happend since an easy to use 1hko slide would be op, in their eyes
-
Hmm yes and no
