Quality of Life Suggestion - Saved load outs
So here’s a suggestion I think would be useful to incorporate into D2: The ability to create load outs that we can use for in game activities … for example ….
- I’m going to jump into a raid. Let me click this button and boom. Raid load out ready. No need to sort through vaults for weapons or armor.
- I’m going into crucible. Let me click this button and boom. My triple hundreds load out ready to go with my favourite weapons all loaded and good to go.
- I’m going to do gambit. Let me click this button and SHAZAM. My gambit armor with set perks, mods and weapons all equipped. No need to wait for Timmy Two Hours who takes TWO HOURS of looking through his vault for the armor he hasn’t changed since vanilla D2. 😆
You get the idea.
Ishtar Commander and other outside apps already let us do this but why can this NOT be done IN GAME when there’s other popular games out there like Call of Duty who have this option already available? It can’t be that hard to add this option into the game, can it? Even mobile games have load outs you can preset for in game use.
Think of all the load outs we could create and the time saved sorting through the vault for the same raid armor we use every time we do VoG or GoS!
Just my 2 cents. Probably been suggested before. Figured I’d add to the pile.

I've said this before yes dim exists but we shouldnt be relying on a third party app to do something so simple in a triple A game title

Been asked for for YEARS. Such a fundamental, basic feature missing. They made the move to push buildcrafting. They removed 9 player selectable Subclass options. And they've failed to provide basic loadouts. Same with UO, implemented it and no basic Saved Appearances either. Contrast that to eg Division 2, put in a Transmog system and simultaneously added Saved Appearances. Massive difference in ease of use. In-game Loadouts is even more critical. What they did is AGAIN shrug their budgeting and developmental shoulders and badly outsourced it to third-parties. That's not in-game. That also tethers you to Blue light emitting phones for all Console players - with all the mass of research data showing how bad that is affecting people. They won't sort this or anything else.

You can tag all your gear ("favorite" so its super easy to find) and sort it by a ton of categories. ffs you can even search for stuff by name. The loadouts even swap your subclass and mods to what you saved. You can even name the loadouts

Bungie relies on 3rd party apps too much. This is available with DIM, they won’t put much effort into it because of DIM. Same as raids. Most of the game is only available through 3rd party and it’s by design.

It's 2018 and this game deserves far better than outsourcing and relegation. The amount of requests are legion. Oh wait, it's near last quarter 2022...not a word.

Imagine being a triple AAA game and have to rely on third party apps to do somthing that other games have had in game for almost two decades. I dont mean to come off harsh or rude, But come on. No loadouts although i can access eververse when im in the middle of a gunfight, strikes seriously need an overhaul, they half assed the gambit "changes", and they add ONE crucible map after literal years. And thats the core part of your game, and it just so happens thats the free part, like where is my money going? Into more DLC i have to buy? In that case dont say your free to play. I feel like a hamster!

Been suggested more times than I've lost at trials.... and beleive me that's a hell of alot, and just like the lighthouse, it'll never be seen!

What? You can’t have features that other games have normally in-game. No no, you see with DESTINY you have to use third-party apps, and any suggestions to make these things in-game features is seen as heresy.

4 RepliesI've had to resort to a specific app titled: [b][i]DIM[/i][/b] (Destiny Item Manager) for equipping loadouts. The app is kinda slow when swapping loadouts but it does the job and you can customise multiple loadouts. it would be super useful to have this implemented in-game.

2 RepliesThere should be 3 loadout Slots. They are not specific (like 1 is only Raid gear for example) I figure 3 is best as it gives you a loadout made for PvP, Raid and PvE sets. Anyways, gear must be in your inventory, obviously, and yup. Just a selection and all gear is equipped. I'd even go so far as to lock in what Element you have tied to it. Like a Stasis build or Arc and so on. It needs to happen.

I don’t disagree with you. Imagine being able to equip a saved load-out without having to be in the tower or in orbit!! However, I think the fact that Bungie actively promotes third-party apps, in-game, means that things are not going to change anytime soon.
