Doesn't care about anything but the peeps, and the home they have left...like the purest purpose, without the thought. That's guardian.
Edit: I had been trying to remember back at the red war, a couple days before this had released, which of the vanguard was worried about the citizens vs the traveler...I couldn't remember between ikora and Zavala, just cool that I had gotten my answer out of no where.

Edited by ChronoRabbitN7: 8/19/2022 3:06:30 AMAfter his successful severance, Zavala also realizes that the Hive are Guardians too. Before, Zavala held onto the belief in the Traveler because it had to be right, in order to justify losing everything. This ultimately became a sort of twisted devotion, where Humanity were the chosen ones. But now? He realizes it might be time to let the Traveler go.

It’s also a gamble. Last time his lack of focus on defending the Traveler is part of the reason we lost the battle. Would of thought he learned from that. People can repopulate, only one god is giving you the power to stay alive long enough to do so. Can’t really defend the City. Staying in just one location is very dangerous for a species on the brink of extinction.

Zavala is a punk, he didn’t want to go after the fools who killed Cayde. Big fan of Lance Reddick though. Not his fault.
