As it stands I don't think that glaives benefit from any of the hunter exotics at all. having it at least benefit from this would make it a lot of fun in the pve sector, I know that you're terrified of having melee perks effect the damage of the glaive, but at least refunding the dodge would add a lot to the fun factor. Also it works thematically because they use an arc staff already. From what I'm reading in the description here, it basically means that hunters will have an entire part of their playstyle cut off if they main a glaive. You're going to have to accept that glaives need to start benefiting at least from thematically appropriate use environments because if you don't, you might as well have not added them because they're just going to become less and less used until they disappear from use entirely. It doesn't have to get increased damage to the melee but atleast let it refund the dodge so that the player can duck and weave while stabbing with their stick...
