Missing a trick with new hunter super!

Im not making any judgments at all until i see it all in action which is only fair! However, for the new Hunter super, you have missed the chance to give hunters some team play utility! The concept is great. So what you could do is, add an effect to team that stands in your arcstaff’s arc field. Titans got the bubble, warlocks the well of radiance. So why not give hunters the same. You could just make it as simple as while in the area of effect for the staff, team and you become amplified and gain increased resistance to damage(something reasonable yet sizeable enough). This would allow for raid teams to reload much faster and utilise their abilities better! Then each class has 1 area lock down super that also doubles as utility/buff for you and team! And ironically one for each different light based class. P.S. if DR sounds like too much. Then amplify and supercharge the recharge rates for all abilities. Arc amping your recharge times seems like a good fit!

    I was also hoping for an Arc well, similar to Fikruls attack ability, that damages enemies and heals allies

    • thats the thing if you pair the three together theres no need for it to give a buff of some kind the buff is you dont take damage from it because then you have weapons with bubble for dps gathering storm for ad control and well for healing and damage resist there is no need for gathering storm to give a buff plus tether and div exist for ultimate dps toward a boss

    • What they have done is added a one and done super to the game and these are usually really strong in what their purpose is. Blade barrage and s&s were only ones unless using celestial night hawk on hunter, both really strong. Warlocks have well, chaos reach (kind of instant) both strong, nova bomb being very strong. Titans have bubble and superman. I can see hunter super somehow being the boss killer everyone runs upon laugh until an eventual nerf. The “Crank” hunter in pvp no doubt gonna be nerfed if they said it is tuned to highest physics the game would allow. Gonna be a lot of very fast, invisible, blinking hunters in pvp lol.

    • Either ability regen, or chain lightning to enemies being shot at by those in the tempest.

    • Back with the Nightstalker reveal in D1, I believe that the devs described the subclass as the support role hunters were missing at the time. Not saying that it’s accurate now, but I wonder if they’ve had the same mindset since then.

        • This would make a really cool exotic. Having it baked into the super might be too much when combined with the fact it’ll do constant damage, but this is well within the realm of an exotic armor piece.
