Let us grind the seasonal artifact. Thats fine.
But moving the level goalposts every season is not an enjoyable player experience.
-
I just want them to stop the RNG on powerful and pinnacle gear. Let us be able to focus and/or buy the things we need to get to caps. Something similar to tomestones gear in FFXIV. So we can know exactly how much time it takes for us to level up. A clear shot from point A to point B.
-
Artifact leveling is just as bad
-
I don't mind a power grind for the annual expansion. But, I agree that the seasons should just be artifact power & season pass grind. Pinnacle grinding every season & material grinding to level up your gear every 3 months sucks. But - the main issue with this is it would expose the lack of content released each season & that Bungie considers the power grind as "content."
-
I’m convinced the only reason the level grind exists is to get players to play activities they would have no reason to otherwise. Could you imagine how empty the “core” activities would be if there weren’t players going for the 3 games pinnacle?
-
One thing that might make things easier is for them to make Prime Engrams Pinnacle +1 again. What makes the leveling system frustrating is the RNG and the fact that unless you are literally doing every Pinnacle activity every week, it takes forever. Right now Primes are completely useless unless we are at the beginning of an expansion. You should be rewarded for playing the game. It’s an investment of time.
-
I liked it before cause it gave me something to do HOWEVER. This season and last season are the EXACT same pinnacles for everything. Preservation. Vox. 3 strikes matching subclass. Master Wellspring.... Etc etc. It isn't cool that the grind itself is so repeative cause you literally are repeating the same things. The LEAST they could do is slightly alter each one so like instead of having to farm a champ in Vox for pinnacle, maybe a completion instead is required?
-
I just don't want content gated by a stupid high LL anymore.
-
It's like saving up for a car and after you finally get it, they come and repo it.
-
I don't mind the levelling. Number go up makes brain happy. BUT What I'd love to see is the removal of Upgrade Modules. Make each slot level up WITH the character whenever we do get a new level from a powerful / pinnacle drop. New Pinnacle Kinetic? Awesome, all kinetic / stasis weapons are matched. New Pinnacle Hunter Legs? All Hunter Legs are that level now. Etc. An improvement to bad luck protection on higher-power drops would also be fantastic so we don't get the same slot drops repeatedly when what we need is a power weapon and a chest piece, but all we get is class items and helmets.
-
They just need to have lightfall to happen and take everyones light away again and revert back to season 1 destiny 2. lol then regrind happens again bahahahahahahahhahahahahhaha
-
Power leveling would be fine if overleveling had more of an impact. Instead, it just exists to gatekeep.
-
I just play the game and most instances you achieve what they set out for triumphs simply by doing so. yes there are those specific ones, but with foresight you can achieve those as you do said activity. the only it really effects are GM's - but those dont arrive till at least halfway through anywho
-
Taking the time to do a pinnacle and it turns out to be a duplicate that doesn't help you at all is disappointing. It's even more disappointing when it's one of the few you actually do, because i don't really raid and i gave up on gambit and crucible unless a quest i care about asks me to do either one. I run master content from time to time, so it matters for me to be on par and not take forever getting there.

The hamster wheel will continue its campaign against the humans.

Edited by Xero: 8/17/2022 4:17:25 PMHonestly the system isn't "bad" exactly... I bet if the RNG on Pinnacles had an algorithm to determine which slot had the lowest power level, (between weapons and armor) and gave something specific to that slot during the grind, so there was a net power level increase all the time (until we hit cap), then there probably would be fewer complaints. Well besides being at cap and being bored, I suppose. But that's subjective on an individual level. I see it more as giving everyone easier accessibility to the activities they want to do, continuously, even if moving the goal posts of power cap. Heck, it might even take away that sense of "defeat" where players wonder to themselves: "Why bother? I'm going to get locked out again anyways, next season, so I'm not playing." I doubt Bungie wants this result. Season of the Haunted introduced bringing our power UP if we were under leveled, so I have a hope this is a consideration or test to dispose of power level, or find a way to lower the severity it can cause some players. That would be a smart move. Alleviating RNG's brutality has been looked at with the introduction of Weapon Crafting, so players have a choice. Even with the Ghost Mods for armor rolls, and even the Solstice event. So something is being looked at in some way or another in the grand scheme of things. Even if money is the bottom line. Wonder if we can't make suggestions in our favor with that tidbit? When you think about it, grind and replaying the same activities over and over are endgame in and of itself. Might as well make it a bit easier to access, even for those who don't play as frequently. Give em a reason to come back....and maybe leave again lol. Take your pick. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

First y’all complained about 50 levels every season so they moved it to 10 now that’s to much 😂
-
But moving the level goalposts every season is not an enjoyable player experience.
That’s because some of the lead people that are supposedly making the game are not real game developers and therefore are not real game makers. No clue of making good videogames. LMAO!!! That’s what you get. A boring, broken game.
-
just dont do world tiers like some games are doing.

Bungie: We're listening Guardians. Power level has been removed! Access to content such as Grandmasters well now be granted through the Hoop system. Jumping through the hoop will earn you a small amount of Everdust. You can exchange 35 Everdust to... Probably Rahool or something in exchange for 1 Everblob. Everblobs can be congealed into Everchunks by jumping through the Hoop. When you've collected 100 Everchunks you may buy a temporary GM key from... Zavala probably? That will dissolve at the end of the season. ahem You're welcome.

10 levels aint -blam!- through gear if you regularly play the game but the +15 for GMs is kind of annoying due to some really annoying seasonal challenges early in the pass. Like the 75 chests on leviathan
-
But power leveling is endgame content (in bungie's mind). What would Bungie replace it with? They would have to create some new content and we all know that is "difficult".
-
Completely agreed, constantly running out of resources to infuse up gear is and getting pinnacles in the wrong slot for weeks on end is tedious and adds nothing to the RPG experience. Leave the leveling to a system that utilizes the artifact to manage level bonuses. This would be AMAZING from catching up second and third characters as well - something that can be extremely time consuming to manage. I acknowledge that they want to maintain and increase player engagement, but there's got to be a better way to entice players than pinnacle drops. There are inherently much more interesting progression system carrots (multi-perk weapon drops from paragon resets for example, or perhaps access to craftable weapon red box drops that wouldn't be available otherwise) that can be employed to incentivize players.

Edited by Lord-Hyfixxa: 8/17/2022 5:55:19 PMIf they take power leveling away you crybaby bioches will be whining about something new 2-3 days after. Stop being such a -blam!- man up get your power level up or just go back to Fortnite
-
enjoyable player experience.
Bungie does not care about our enjoyment in the game. Bungie cares about player statistics. Keep us in the game as long as possible to keep the numbers as high as possible. That is it. Sadly.
-
They need something to keep players busy every season with the lack of content so that's the way they do it by making a artificial grind. Because being made to level up for the same endgame activities every season is "fun" isn't it
-
It's only 10 levels, you really that lazy?
