Legend/Master lost sector exotic drop rate appears to be the same, and they are not dropping for me anymore
So, I am not sure if I am the only one having this issue, or if it is an issue. Playing on PC/Steam.
I have been working to catch up my alternate characters since about mid-Solstice. I decided to start grinding the Legend/Master lost sectors to get exotics that I was missing (and triumphs cause why not). I don't know the official drop rate for either besides Legend-Rare and Master-Common, but I have to be honest, they appear to be the exact same drop rate right now. It doesn't matter which version I grind, it still takes a fair bit of grinding to get gear. I'm not saying I expect an exotic drop on every Master completion, but having to do it several times before I even get one drop should not be called a "common" drop.
My other issue is, over the past couple of days or so, I have been getting [i]zero[/i] exotic drops out of lost sectors. I have been grinding Master lost sectors on all of my characters the past couple of nights, and I have not received any exotic armor whatsoever. This is over the course of several hours of gameplay. Sometimes I don't even get anything out of the chest.
Please understand that I am very frustrated with this, and this puts me off of grinding for exotic gear, let alone playing on my alternate characters. Can someone please help me with this or at least look into it?

2 RepliesHi there. Legendary and Master lost sectors do have different drop chances, but rewards are still RNG and vary by each person. We've seen most people get an exotic from Legendary an average of 5-12 runs. Since it's RNG though, you may sometimes have good luck and get exotics within your first few runs while other times it may take 20 or more. Being efficient and getting a Platinum score by killing all Champions improves the chance of better rewards. The only guaranteed reward though is XP. The thing to consider between Master and Legendary, is that Masters typically take more time to complete with more effort, so you'll likely get a fraction of them done compared to doing Legendary. It's a choice between more chances vs better odds.
