I believe having readable books in the tower would add to the immersion experience that some might enjoy. I've had the experience of when playing elder scrolls with the lore scattered throughout the world, that I felt like a true adventurer trying to understand the complexities of the world.
I'm just saying it wouldn't be terribly hard to add it in the tower, where the stairs are with books shelfs. It would be cool

It’s not Skyrim 😄

Guardian,Archon Of Light
Blade Of The Traveler - old
There is already a book of lore in the game But I see your point, would have been more immersive to go in the Cryptarchs or Warlocks library and read about stuff instead of opening a tab in our ui -
Edited by Jai_Ex: 8/7/2022 7:52:39 PMI asked for this year's ago. Glad there's other people who agree that this is a good idea. But there should be a change tho. Bungie shouldn't put events that are happening around us in the lore tab. That defeats the whole purpose of telling a story. Lore should be used to tell the stories of the past. Memories of the past are supposed to shape events of the present and future. I want to see and play through these events, not read them. Lore's primary goal should be used for worldbuilding. Only then when the stage is set should it be used for storytelling, not before...

It's already available in the lore tab under your triumphs tab. No need to add it to the tower when you can already access it regardless of location.

While I like the idea of intractable books we already have lore books available in the lore tab.

we kinda do its the lore triumphs tab

Bungie expects you to read the plain text books hidden in the lore section. Adding them to the game would cost money and provide nothing. Better to spend dev dollars on streamlining ever verse. Make sure you check out this weeks offerings!

The only library we used to have was the Speaker's in the old Tower until it got blown up.
