Linking new bungie account to steam that previously had a bungie account linked to it
I have a steam account that was previously linked to a bungie account with its own set of characters. I no longer would like to play those characters, and instead, would like to link that steam account to this bungie account to play my original characters that are on this bungie account. I have unlinked that bungie account from the steam account i want to use, and have gone as far as to check if it would even let me link this bungie account to it and it would, but i wanted to check to see if anyone would know what would happen if i did that. Any information is appreciated.

Your "bungie account" is just the means of accessing this forum. It holds nothing pertaining to your game data. All your characters, gear, and progress are tied to your platform account (Steam in your case). Linking your steam account here just allows you to view your game data through the forum/app, so changing which Steam account is linked will not change anything in-game. The only way for you to play on a different set of characters would be for you to play on a different Steam account.
