Can we have a stasis glaive already please.
Among other things it just makes sense as you can build into doing extra kinetic damage on chilled targets and the glaive does kinetic damage. Glaives aren't awful but being honest they aren't worthy of taking the place of most energy weapons.
I really want to run a glaive.......... But there are just so many better options for that slot.

2 RepliesI feel like Glaives were something that started off as a very cool and powerful idea, but then got reigned in hard. Like their stabbing melee doesn’t have the element of the glaive. Most perks do not trigger on a melee kill. In first person the tip of the glaive’s blade is way shorter than it is in third person. Which means when you melee you’re missing range. And then there’s the exotics that are weaker than actual class abilities or even other exotics. The whole “build energy with projectile kills” mechanic killed these glaives.

1 ReplyGlaives are really best in Gambit. They are too risky in highend content like Master or Grandmaster nightfalls cause you don't want to be that close to an enemy and I agree that for everything else PVE, you wanna rock like a shotgun or something. But in Gambit it is super fun and they -blam!- slay.

Glaives allow to cheese this week containment pretty quick though, even solo or nearly solo.

I imagine that will be next season, since we already have one of every element now The enigma is void, lubraes ruin is solar, the glaive for this season is arc, so maybe a stasis glaive will be next season. If not, it’ll be another solar since Lubraes ruin is a raid weapon

3 Repliesthey also need a consistency update in PvP, and a ease of use update for everywhere. Its clunky to swap from shooting to meleeing and guarding. Half my shoots either hit the target and dont register, or they hit the target and give me blcok energy but deal no damage. This is a issue bungie.

Personally, I'd like both a stasis and straight up kinetic. I'd love a glaive that takes the place of that kinetic slot either way. ....to that measure exotic heavy glaive that would allow you to flop elements? just another idea

Yeah cause a lot of people are struggling doing bounties, pvp, pve, nightfalls, raids etc without a stasis glaive. Using the solar/arc or void glaive is just not the same

About how we have a legendary glaive for every light element, and I realized that it might be interesting to have a glaive for the kinetic slot. 2 RepliesI don't doubt its in the works, honestly. Bungie really did us wrong with glaives though. They made them sound great, and then were like [i]"Yo, by the way, good luck using glaives with any build"[/i]. They're a fantastic concept, and I understand not wanting to make them too powerful, but you are correct, literally any other weapon is better to use in the energy slot. If our whole end game is to make builds revolve around things like elemental wells, or light wells to become charged with light, then the only option is to use things that consistently give us those wells as much as possible, because let's face it, those are really the only build options. I can equip a primary elemental and just dump wells all over, same with kinetic. I can wipe groups with one fusion bolt, or using perks like incandescent or firefly, so why is it such a big deal with glaives? They still take a good amount of strikes to kill and there's alot of risk involved just like swords. Yeah they can shoot, but its short range. The only glaive with intrinsic suppression is the void one, so that's not an issue either. I'm very confused about their thought process and 'fixes' behind these though.
