Reason why we don't go to certain areas anymore
Is there a lore reason why we don't go to certain places from D1 and D2 any more? I know why we can't go to Io, Titan, or Mercury anymore (I guess we still can technically go to Mars because crafting). But why not Venus, the Tangled Shore, or Dreadnaught? I'm sure stuff still happens there that the Guardians might want to deal with.
Maybe with the Dreadnaught it's just been abandoned since Oryx's death since it can't fire its screw all kill everything gun or move without him. Only thing I can think of for why we don't go to the Store is because maybe Mara decided to lock it down to hunt for Spider and get everything under control? Can't think of anything for Venus.

2 RepliesThe cosmodrome was under Quarantine for some reason and guardians were forbidden to go into it. Bungie showing they have 0 clue as to explain why the location we should have visted to see why the fallen houses are all consolidated into one was under Quarantine when ghosts can literally cure death

7 RepliesWell, the tangled shore is probably because its not our problem anymore. Its a problem for mara, considering she returned. The dreadgnout is basically an unusable weapon since oryx died, so no reason to go there anymore. And the others? Probably because we just arent necessary in those places.

3 RepliesQuarantine. Those places, like Venus and the Dreadnaught, are quarantined and no guardian is allowed to go there except a certain few, I think.

2 RepliesLore wise, there isn’t anything big currently happening in those planets. Bungie wise, they gotta work on them in order to bring them back just so they can also sunset other planets because of limitations. It is what it is

2 RepliesTo my knowledge (and this is working off assumptions as well) Mercury, Io, Titan: Gone atm due to Pyramid Ships Mars: Chances are vanguard-wise they're unsure of what the Darkness did to the planet, so our exploration is limited Dreadnought: Likely no real reason anymore due to Oryx being gone, the Taken having taken new leadership, and our new alliance/armistice with the Cabal. So in reality nothing happening. Plaguelands: I think got soft retconned(?), but otherwise it was partially the cosmodrome, which was quarantined for a period of time likely due to remnants of SIVA. Likely specific teams went to deal with the remnants while we worked on other things. Tangled Shore: Spider left, and Mara reclaimed the area, so it's likely she doesn't want us interfering with whatever her plans are for the Shore. Chances are we're still allowed in the Dreaming City because it's still under the effects of Savathun's Curse. Venus: I believe has something to do with the Fallen there likely dissolving and splintering off elsewhere (likely with Dusk), and the Vex are seemingly more occupied with other locations now after the Vault of Glass (Black Garden, Nessus which is nearly fully terraformed, their giant portal on Europa). Lorewise, likely not much happening on Venus. If I missed somewhere let me know and I'll try to think through my knowledge on what happened to it, but that's why off my head.
