Okay, as you read the title you have a pretty good idea of where I'm going with this. My first point to this is, is it beyond time that our ships and sparrows become more than cosmetic trophies?
I believe that it is high time we get to saddle up and take destiny in a whole new way. This will revolutionize the way we play EVERYTHING. Imagine raises, dungeon, strikes, even basic missions were there's a dogfight encounter or a boss that cannot be handled by our standard arms and requires heavier ordinances? And the harbinger of this activity would be none other than Amanda Holliday. Her ships will have a purpose and so will the ones that we already have!
Second point. It is high time that we get other ways to tackle our enemies. The ideas I have are as follows:
Infiltrations- Stealthily infiltrate a stronghold and observe it for future strikes and or missions
Stealth Assassinations- Stealthily infiltrate a stronghold and assassinate a high value target
Arrests- bring in highly dangerous domestic criminals that the regular police force can't handle within our own walls to keep the city clean.
Bounty hunting- Finding targets and either killing, or bringing them in alive ourselves with a device that we ourselves will use for high prices. Doing it alone means not splitting rewards with other guardians but also means a harder job and the bounties you ring in builds your rep as you go
Diplomatic missions- act as an emissary and spake on behalf of other and do a bit of political work
And much more.
Lastly, why not let us customize our own guardians indepth? Let us chose our own voices, or change our faces, and even let us have a say in different mission where we can form our own opinion. Bungie classified themselves as an MMO RPG looter shooter. It's time we hold them to the MMO RPG part. Please leave any ideas you may have. I know it's not just me who's wanted more ways to tackle this game then just challenges, power grind, gun grind, and horde modes.

Go play warframe ....or Dragon age
-
It sounds like you want a completely different franchise.

You are correct, your ideas would revolutionize the game.... But in a terrible way. Diplomacy in a looter shooter? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Diplomacy in this game is I shoot you and you give me loot. You should stay away from providing ideas of any kind, please

It will never change. We have been doing this ridiculous boring cycle now for almost 8 years. They made their money. They will not change the core of this game bc financially it wouldn’t make sense. Funny how their new game will drop just as destiny’s life cycle is over.
-
Probably wont get any major overhauls until 2024 or later. Lightfall this year, final shape next year. Then hopefully a couple of years off for Bungie to regroup
-
Destiny's core gameplay loop is no longer working 8 (almost 9) years later. It's gotten stale and boring and Bungie desperately needs to innovate on it. The only enjoyable missions seem to be Dungeons and Raids because they involve unique content and stories instead of mindlessly slaughtering the same old 5 enemy races and 4 enemy types for years.
-
End of the Road by Boyz II Men playing in the background.
-
I'll read more of it when I get home. But... We recently had a mission calling for recon, turned into force recon...with little to no recon.
-
Sounds like you basically just want warframe lol, they basically do this already, which is probably why Bungie hasn’t added anything like it.
-
Can’t lie I hate stealthy missions in any game. But that one mission where we had to sneak around in Crota end was dope. I think the mission was called Last Rites? Idk a long mission like that would be cool.
-
Would be cool if we get evil guardian and need to kill them but capture their ghost with the light cage that was used on zavalas ghost
-
So you basically want destiny to be warframe?

Edited by Klaus_Reaper (Adept): 6/23/2022 9:57:17 AMStealth mission like the essence of crota in D1? that was fun !!! but i have a weak spot on these missions...always blew my cover for fun.

-
Sounds fun.
-
Yes. Core gameplay loop is dry and stale. 7 year old poptart stale. Bounties, playlist activity, occasional raid. Thats it.
-
Edited by Veldrin: 6/23/2022 12:39:02 PMI captured and enslaved humans in fallout 3 with mesmetron already. It was effective. And I sneaked around backstabbing lunatics in a haunted house as a lunatic myself (malcavian) in bloodlines masquerade. It was spooky.

Not one W was found here…
-
I get the dogfights. It'd be cool to have missions like piloting the Saber in Halo Reach. But everything else just wouldn't work. Our character has very limited dialougue so Mass Effect like diplomacy wouldn't be able to be implemented. Stealth really only applies to hunters so the other 2 classes would be SOL. If you want all these things might I interest you in Warframe or even the Outer Worlds?
-
So...Assassin's Creed? Because you're basically describing Assassin's Creed.
-
So warframe ?
