build variety and power level

Hi bungie, I really enjoy Destiny 2 but at the moment I am struggling to make myself play the game. I really enjoy games like Path of Exile where I can grind activities and farm up better gear to make my character stronger to do harder content. but currently I feel Destiny 2 does not offer anything like that. currently new season releases you grind power levels and artefact levels to do harder content. I find this system very bland and boring. I think this needs to be reworked and the harder content should not be locked behind a number but rather by how strong your build is. I know this not a easy and fast change to make but I believe in the long run this is very necessary to keep the player retention. The first change should be to gearing and build variety. I believe you need to add exotics/perks that really change up the way people paly. You need to make people move away from relying heavily on damage perks or ability regen perks. for example there could be an exotic that makes the player not be able to use your class ability but you get 2 grenades and double potency or maybe disable super but you get double potency on all your other abilities and maybe a new mechanic where you fill up your super bar but when at full bar you get super powered or something. I know this is very drastic but I believe thing like these need to be implemented to really change the meta and builds in general. I think there also needs to some sort of skill tree separate from the sub class that give minor stat bonuses and such when you level up. this can be recovery and such . in doing so I believe we can move away from armour rolls and make them more interesting. the RNG element of the armour can come from adding affixes to armour and those affixes can be the build defining stats that I mentioned earlier. I think with this system you can satisfy both the hardcore and casual player where at high end you would still look for the best stat rolls possible; however now the main power comes from the affixes where if you have good affixes the stats don't matter as much for low to mid-high end content. I think now that we have transmog you could also look into doing armour sets. To elaborate on the levelling skill tree it should be something like you grind to level 30 and get 30 points to spend on a tree of around 60-80 notables(these notables can be stats, ability enhancers etc). after the 30 levels players can still level and spend points on very minor things such as better chance to drop body armour after completing an activity etc. the first 30 levels should not reset each season, however I believe the artefact mods system should be integrated into these 30 level each season to spice up the player choice and build economy. maybe the levels after 30 should be reset at each season, however I am not entirely sure about this. I think you should also make end game content with solo players and replay ability in mind. that's all I really hope you kindly look at this suggestion from a humble destiny 2 enjoyer/player and I really do want this game to be the best.

maybe something like your recovery is replaced by a new stat called aegis. you regenerate 1 aegis every 10 seconds or when you get a multi-kill up to a maximum of 5 aegis. aegis mitigates 1 full hit and or status effect when hit; lose a stack of aegis when hit. for every 10 points of aegis you get +1 maximum aegis and -0.5 second cooldown. you get no benefits from recovery. something very good for add clear at low stacks but also pretty decent for bosses at high stat.
