Why does bungie do everything by twitter? Any good reasons???
-
Bungo sold out long ago with the "my truth" way of thinking. They don't want to face criticism for being an exploitative and scummy cesspool so they stick to their echo chambers and their truth.
-
It's their echo chamber.
-
1. More likely to find echo chamber of yes people. 2. Many businesses especially game devs have moved more of their contacts to Twitter 3. Easier to block non-yes people to maintain stability of echo chamber. Me personally I find twitter to be one of the reasons for the downfall of society, and a more wretched hive of scum and villainy then even Mos Eisley.
-
I thought this was a PvP post.
-
Why does bungie do everything by twitter? Any good reasons???
The ability to block naysayers is most likely the reason
-
Because they can block any unpopular opinion or account that calls anything out. They then bask in the echo chamber they've created. Twitter is the absolute worst of the worst social media.
-
Twitter is a sht hole.

These clowns have no idea what they're doing. On Twitter, they say go to the help forums if you have a problem. In the forums, they guilt trip you for having a bad time playing their game and tell you that they only respond on Twitter. It's just a runaround. Nobody at Bungo actually listens or cares that 95% of their player base has quit because their own community is toxic as hell. The only people they listen to are streamers and sweats and those are literally the worst people in the whole game. You don't matter. I don't matter. Shut up and pay for the game, that's all they want out of us.
-
It’s their main source of outreach to people by announcing updates for the game.
-
Take one look at these forums
-
Because most of Bungie are a bunch of woke snowflakes that think that Titter is reality.
-
Because they don’t have a managed app for news updates.
-
People here in the forums are arseholes

Edited by MattTheBelieber: 5/19/2022 11:49:54 PMAre you seriously asking why they do everything via Twitter? Have you seen these forums? Even with risks of being banned toxicity and personal attacks are 99% of these forum's content. You can literally lost "I like ice cream" and someone will tell you you're a failure in life cause they are lactose intolerant.
It is annoying though that they spread all the information throughout this app, TWABs, YouTube, Reddit and Twitter. It's impossible to keep up with everything Bungie publishes on so many different avenues. Like honestly. How much information have you had to learn from people you are playing with cause the answer to your questions are impossible to find?
Edited by Desolator0: 5/19/2022 11:41:03 PMKinda sad how they frequently gush about how this is the best community on Earth, etc. etc., and more hyperbole, but then almost completely avoid using their own forums entirely. They're ignoring a decent chunk of their community on here and it's sad. If they have problems with rulebreakers and toxic people, all they have to do is mute/ban them according to their own rules. What are Ninjas even for anyways? The more Bungie ignores their own forums, the more this section of their community feels dismissed, and this section of the community's sentiment towards Bungie gets even worse. It's a problem of their own making and it's only getting worse.
-
Cause these forums are a dumpster fire and every time a bungie employee shows their face on here they get flamed. Why would they willingly come here?
-
cuz this forum is 50% trolls 49% bad players 1 % normal players
-
Bungie is on Twitter, because it's broad.
-
It's the quickest way for them to reach the most people? If it were post something on twitter and guarantee that a large portion of your invested fanbase is going to see it, or post it literally anywhere else and severely reduce that number, what would you do?
-
This place is designed to corral the dissidents, that's all.
-
Uhm... I suppose, maybe, that by their researches Twitter is the best channel for interaction and information. Same for Reddit. The forums are more a sort of a "rant place" where to gather feedback silently without interact with the users.
-
Bungie on twitter is a joke. Their employees consistently use every severe curse word they want on twitter. But on their own forum, you can’t even say something that is mildly (if at all) offensive. Hypocrisy at its finest.
-
Twitter loves destiny Outside of pvp… pvp gets crushed on Twitter
-
Because they get praises from content creators
-
Because they know their ideas are garbage and on Twitter, they can just block anyone who disagrees. Bungie was started by college frat boys in the early 90s, and it's quite evident they never grew out of that frat mindset despite being well over 50 years old now. Why else do you think they just skipped posting the twab feedback post this week?
-
Really easy to block people also the place where all their activisme comes from.
