Event Card
Overall, I like the idea of the Event Card, bungie. I think it'll help prioritize actions to be taken during the events and give them some structure that they've been lacking. Now...
Everyone say it with me. NO ONE WANTS PAID EVENTS. I don't care if it's going to be "discounted" because the upgrade will be sold for 1000 silver and be worth 3000+. The whole point of getting event cosmetics out of eververse is so that we earn them, NOT that we buy them. How do you so consistently screw this aspect of events up?

Bright dust is a thing though. It’s not like they lock it all behind a paywall and say “pay up or never get it.” They aren’t forcing us to pay to have more fun. Sure, they is an emote and ghost shell I can’t get this year since I don’t like to spend on the game ornaments, but it’ll be out there later if I really want it. These people are trying to give us a lot of nice stuff, but it’s also a big company that needs a source of income. So there’s silver. Big whoop.

They should use that Eververse money to actually improve their lazy, copy-paste bounty grind simulator events first before asking their players to fork over MORE money to them.

The higher-ups are being jerks plain and simple. They don't give a flying hoot about any of you and they never will. Their job isn't about respecting you. Their job is solely to get you to throw money at them and nothing else. It's why this game has literally gone to -blam!- since Activision left. It's also why most of the key devs left this broken company a long time ago. Let's get real here people, we are dealing with a company that doesn't even care about their outdated P2P and their outdated engine that both D1 and D2 literally have suffered because of that BS. As long as we can keep selling things from the shop and constantly look for ways to add more monetization, why care about the state the game is in.

3 RepliesSo after reading the TWAB about them ....honestly I'm not against it Instead of selling everything overpriced piece by piece (1 armor set was 1000silver) you will now be able to earned them (if you paid for the premium event card)for only 1000 silver I'm probaly never gonna buy a premium event card...but for those that buy lots of cosmetics and like a certain theme it save them a lot of money But yea this is the D2 forum so peoples will complains about monetization speech when its heavily favorable for the customer

Honestly I'm not surprised the whole point of the events is to sell cosmetics they not really that good because all the weapons they put behind them are mediocre and not worth using "The Title" been the best they had so far

Man look they know exactly what they are doing. Bean counters are telling them we need X % of growth this year so they will simply sell everything no matter wtf it does to the overall game.....here we go with eververse taking president over the game like 2 years ago. Wait till player number crash then we will get the sob story how they are working so hard to redefine it all AGAIN. I am convinced this company couldnt tell the truth to save even a bug in a field. 4 RepliesAt this point I'd rather have no events. Event cosmetics have always been a joke, and now they want us to pay for the ability to earn them... Yeah, nah. "We want to earn the armor" doesn't mean "we want to have a convoluted system for earning cosmetics that we could've just paid for before but instead want to pay AND grind for!"

I give up events after 2 or 3 days because they're so pants.. I wouldn't mind if they dropped secret missions like zero hour or whisper of the worm with the money, but those sorta things have long since dried up. I feel we need to move away from these 4 seasons thing and have 2 or 3 bigger expansions instead.. Maybe I'm just burnt out at this point. I hope there is mot another 6 man copy paste activity next season where I have to dunk a ball in a cup.

1 ReplyI used bright dust for armor, but so far bungie has held to their word eververse would only be cosmetic optional stuff, also it rotates weekly what you can get for bright dust. Look in the store a little more carefully

6 RepliesI can't believe they actually says it's worth 3000 lol. Worth 3000 in their opinion, going off prices they created. I read a leaked document about the 30th bundle, and 1 guy wrote £25 may seem steep but it has £75 worth of content, then proceeded to price items like gally £15, armour set £15, ghost £5 etc etc They actually believe this -blam!-. In reality it's just another £10 added on to the years cost, a move they pull as player loss is increasing, so they put that potential lost revenue onto the people still playing.

Because unfortunately you have the people that are lacking commitment complain then that they missed and should be able to throw silver at it. "ItS jUsT aRmOr YoU gAtEkEePeRs" Those people are honestly the reason we can't even earned event ornaments because they don't want to play said event and then complain that they missed it and should be paying for it. Not justifying the eververse abuse that's been haunting events ever since it was introduced but they might as well🤷♂️ As long as people don't want to play but pay it works

1 ReplyYeah I posted too. I paid $100 for access to everything and now they want another $40/year. Hell no. The seasons pass is barely worth it as is. There's no way in hell I'm dishing out another $10 for a few cosmetics. It might be about time to say F-it to the deluxe edition altogether and just start picking and choosing which season I want to spend additional money on based on how much I like the content.
