Suggestions (positive)

Hey there Bungie... I have had some ideas (in some cases inspired by some of the new/changed mechanics in Witch Queen). Love all the design work in WQ btw, posted about that in another thread in feedback. Idea #0: Add a forward moving Melee Sparrow dismount. Perhaps you could have this be assignable and customizable like finishers? The thing that made me think of this was observing how 'clunky and awkward' getting off the sparrow always feels. Making that dismount more controllable and elegant would be gratifying and cool. Getting on our sparrows is very smooth and I feel totally in control. Almost, but not quite as cool as the guys in Tron Legacy jumping on their LightBikes lol... Idea #1: A weapon mod that Buffs weapons specifically for PVE. I got the idea after seeing the new Full Auto Retrofit Mod (which I love). There has long been a feeling that weapon behavior in PVP was holding back weapons from feeling their most lethal in PVE, this seems like a solid solution. Idea #2: Selective Sound Enable/Disable I play with music and npc voices OFF. Mostly I do that to take advantage of the excellent um '3D sound rendering' (not sure what you call that. Basically, I can hear so clearly where enemies are from the sounds they make, that it is kinda like a low grade echolocation. In PVP it is more useful than radar. Well, anyway, what I currently do is to go into preffs, every time I am doing new content (provided I remember), to turn voice back on. Then I get annoyed in the tower or PVP when I hear a voice track for the thousandth time and turn it back off. I occurs to me, the volume could be separated by activity, or by area, or by season, so we could shut the old stuff off, but leave the new stuff on. Alternatively, You could add a set of quick disable toggles to the main inventory page, so we could flip it on or off more quickly/easily. Idea #3: Add a page on the companion app that is basically another 24 assignable buttons. emotes/fly to initiation/etc. posted in more detail in the companion app thread. Idea#4: Expand the controller Preferences. I love the controller prefs that were added a little while back. There are a few features that could be added to further enhance things; btw: I play on Xbox Series S There is a 'southpaw' setting in controller prefs, but it only switches the sticks for gameplay, not menu navigation. I propose you add a second option to toggle sticks ONLY for menus. Reason: Stick Drift! My Xbox controllers get stick drift after 3 months regularly (I'm hard on controllers). This is more a suggestion for others benefit since I have found a work around. My work around for this btw: I turned on southpaw in Destiny settings AND swapped the sticks in my console accessory settings. That way my drifty left stick stays on movement where its not so bad, but menu nav switches to my right stick, so menus aren't a nightmare. Add the ability in the preferences, to assign MODIFIER keys: like hold a button down PLUS hit another button to do whatever. I currently have only one d-pad direction assigned to emotes. I have set it up this way because I find it way more useful to assign weapon selection to a single button for each weapon slot. Kinetic/Energy are assigned to D-Pad up and left, respectively, and Heavy is assigned to Y. This allows me to go right to the weapon I want without paying any attention whatsoever. But there are times I would definitely like more options. For instance: we could assign it so we would hold down Y plus use the D-pad to give us another 4 D-pad commands (or even 8?). Those could be used to add additional emote presets, or be assigned to go directly to particular menu pages (like preferences lol), etc. Some other games have done similar things. I'm thinking of Half-Life which used a button plus an analog stick for lightning fast weapon selection between 8 choices.
