Error Code: Marmot on Xbox One X

ISSUE: - Receiving the following error message after choosing my character to log-on to game. Error Message: "Problem reading game content. File verification may be required. For more information, visit help.bungie.net and search for error code: marmot" - Restart the game and a screen comes up saying Installing Destiny 2, Verifying Content: In progress while counting percentage ISSUE DETAILS: - Playing on Xbox One X - I haven't played Destiny 2 on my One X in over 6+ months. When I started the game on Monday January 24th 2022 I was immediately greeted with an 86 GB update. - the update ran successfully over night, the next morning I tried running the game. I Deleted my Hunter Character so I could start over. The game took me through the opening scene down to where your ghost first wakes you up. As I neared the stairs of the first building the game froze with same error message and crashed. - Restart the game and a screen comes up saying Installing Destiny 2, Verifying Content: In progress while counting percentage - I looked up this issue about not being able to verify content all sites / forums including this site stated to reinstall. APPLIED SUGGESTED TROUBLESHOOTING: --- Game is being installed onto External Seagate HDD --- No other games are having this issue --- At this point I have reinstalled 4 times. ---Details A, B, C below A) - (Performed this install twice) I uninstalled the game, restarted the Xbox One X and proceeded to reinstall via my purchased physical disc. During the install it stated that there was an update so I selected to run the update as well. - upon watching the first part of the install it appears to be installing to point some files from the disc, then moving onto to install the update. - after completion I started the game again. This time choosing my Titan of which I had played the most. To my surprise after about 5 to 7 min of watching the splash screen animation, I was put into a group match with Xur and a Horse to gather loot while fighting an array of enemies. - Once that was completed I was able to choose my destination on the map. - After opening the map, the game froze with the same error. Restarting the game caused it to scan and verify content of which failed again at 99% freezing and not able to verify data. B) Uninstalled, then performed Hard Reset, Held Xbox One X button until Full shutdown. - This instead of reinstalling from disc, I installed it from the Xbox One / Microsoft Store as I remembered the base game is free. - Completed the install - Started the game with my new Hunter and was able to play with out issue for about an hour. - Exited game and came back a few hours later. Successful login with Hunter, started to play and with in 5min froze with same error message listed above. Restarted game and it went right into verifying files. - I let it sit, this time took 30min to reach 99% and failed. C) Uninstalled game, deleted Xbox One X persisted cache data, also performed Power Cycle reboot. - Power Cycle reboot is believed to clear cache, I performed hard shutdown holding the Xbox One X button until shutdown, then unplugged the power cable and while unplugged I discharged the internal power supply by pushing the Xbox One X button on console a few time. All while still unplugged for up to 7min. - Reinstalled game with digital install of course. - Game is now unplayable as soon as you choose any character I immediately receive the error listed and freezes. - Restart game and it takes between 8 to 15 min to verify data only to fail at 99%. NEXT STEPS: - Awaiting Response from Bungie Support.
