Why is it asking me to buy beyond light again.

I just re downloaded destiny 2 to get back into the game. And it’s not letting me access beyond light. I lost my darkness subclass but I still have access to the armor and the story missions. Update. I only bought the season pass for that season. Thank you guys.

  • Go into the game management options and see if you need to re-download the game licences from the "ready to install" list. If it is not there then you need to talk to Microsoft XBL support as they not Bungie control game and dlc licences. Ps. Known issue. When D2 left the XB Games Pass last year for some reason Microsoft cancelled the Beyond Light dlc licence for a number of players who has actually purchased the dlc.

  • When was the last time you played Beyond Light content or used the Stasis subclass? Destiny 2 and its related DLC were on XBox Gamepass for awhile, but were removed from Gamepass almost two months ago. If you were accessing Beyond Light via Gamepass that would be why you no longer have access to it. If you recall actually purchasing Beyond Light, then please go to microsoft.com and log into your account. Then go to account history and find your Beyond Light purchase. If the status shows anything other than Completed or if the purchase doesn't show up at all then you will need to contact Microsoft for further assistance.

Unfortunately, if that doesn't work, Bungie has no control over the licenses, so you will have to work with the store's support team to have them verify your purchase and restore any licenses as needed.
