Theyre a 5 -6 min activity though. How rewarding should they be? Imagine if we could get an exotic every 5 mins. We would just farm lost sectors for god rolls non stop, rendering all other sources pointless

They could just limit what kind of exotics you can farm there.

Theyre already farmable. We pick our favorite and fastest, and go do it. Lost sectors are in a good place right now. We dont need a guaranteed exotic for every 5-8 min run. We already have sources of guaranteed exotics, with xur, the kiosk and the season pass. There has to be some element or surprise in a loot game, or loot becomes meaningless. If exotics were just guaranteed everywhere, they wouldnt be so exotic anymore. And we havnt even talked about how it would make endgame farming pointless if low tier and mid game activities handed out an exotic every time we ran some trivial like a lost sector.

Guess you are right. But only getting glimmer or nothing should never be possible as a reward. There has to be something that is guaranteed to drop, such as upgrade modules, cores and even prisms and does killing all the champions even result in better chance of rewards?

Cores would be nice, i could go for that. And yeh, you have to get platinum by killing all champs to guarantee the best reward

That should NOT be a possible reward for that kind of content. And then I see speed-run videos on youtube where they bypass most of the champions, kills the boss and get the exotic and better loot than when I don't die, kill all champions, have time to spare, kill the boss and all adds. That doesn't make sense that you are rewarded more or the same for skipping half the encounter and not getting gold or platinum. The reward system in this game is so unfair.

Your chances are drastically reduced for not getting platinum. If they dont kill champs and still get one, thats just random luck. And again, the rewards you are getting are commesurate to the time and difficulty of the activity. Lost sectors arent endgame. Theyre low tier mid game content. Can be done in 5 mins, and the difficulty is a joke. Its not hard to understand why an easy 5 minute activity isnt handing out endgame tier rewards. If you cant get your head around that, i dunno what to tell you. If you want guaranteed exotics run gms.

Course you can bud. I do it, and honestly im a very average player lol. So if i can, i know you can. It just takes practice thats all. The key is to learn the enemy spawns. Then the adds behave the same way every time, it becomes predictable, and when you know where everything is going to be, and when champs spawn, you will start to have success.

But i see you have a high levelled account, so you can play the game right? Doing gms doesnt require anymore physicality than youre using right now. Its more a mental thing. Playing smarter, safer etc.

And if you don't think gm's are harder physically than the rest of the game, then I can only tell you that you are wrong. As someone who has to measure everything I do gm's is a killer - not just in difficulty, but in duration as well. I understand it is difficult for most people to understand how it feels to not have energy for much and losing strengh from extended encounters and not getting it back for hours afterwards. I used to be able to keep up power-wise and getting the new exotics, but since Bungie has gone more hardcore, limiting a lot of progeression options and exotics to more difficult encounters there's less and less for me to play. So don't say it's easy, just because you can do it. I can barely do the heroic lost sectors, so I HATE that Bungie locked the new exotics in there instead of leaving them out in the world pool. I wouldn't mind the lost sectors if they just let them drop in the world pool like they used to as well, and those who wanted them faster could just do those solo sectors, but no... it has to be either / or instead of both.

Im not saying its easy. Gms are really tough. What i meant was, there is some easier ones, where its more about playing safe and taking cover than playing aggressive against higher powered ads. An example is lake of shadows, you have cover all the way to the boss room, and the boss can be instantly killed with a well and linear fusions. And that one is short too. Takes about 15 -20 mins,even if you go slow, and its not a high intensity gm like corrupted, fanatic etc. So what i meant was, and i meant no disrespect, is that it must of taken hours of play to hit your power level, good job btw!, so i thought 20 min nightfalls arent out of the realm of possibility for you. Ps, feel free to add me, and if you ever need assistance with any tough quests, nightfalls etc, id be happy to help you out. Im not a recov guy btw, i dont play for money. I play with people free, anyone. ✌️

And I don't do non matchmade hard activities. I've played a lot, but all those stupid xp only bounties on 3 characters did their share - if I had realized they didn't give rep, I would have been much, much lower now.

I mean, i would be happy for you to join me and my buds with no mic for most things if you dont like to talk. Ive carried several people recently to beating Atheon in the raid with no mic, as we only need 4 people to make calls and beat the raid, so 2 people can do no comms. But i would have to message some instructions for you to follow in the raid. But dungeons, missions like presage etc, dont really need communication. Only thing i couldnt help with is master lost sectors, because they have to be done solo. Im still helping a friend do 3 atheon checkpoints every week cos hes trying to get vex, so feel free to tag along. We dont always do the full raid, cos he only needs vex, but you will get vog completions, boss loot, and chances of a vex mythoclast drop. And you dont have to communicate. Just shoot whichever oracles you see us shooting, and put some damage into the boss.

This season lake of shadows gm is free, a good source of exotic, nf wep and ascendant shard farm. Even devils lair, whilst longer than lake, can be reasonably farmed ✌️

I just use the lfg on this app for that. Whenever an easy GM farm week is up, theres a ton of people posting. Takes about a minute or less to team up

Master lost sectors are not 5-6 minutes. You're referring to legend, not master.

Depending on the skill level (and build) and the sector, you can do certain MASTER sectors in under 2 minutes.
