I have an idea on how to improve Gambit.
Problem 1 (Invading)
It seems like the enemy invades way to often. Now this suggestion might seem counterintuitive but hear me out. What if instead of invading for every 25 motes banked we could instead use our motes to invade when ever we wanted to. This would force each team to decide whether they want to use their motes towards a primeval or to use them to invade.
There would be a spot next to the invasion portal where motes can be deposited. Anyone on your team can invade no matter who deposited the motes. Motes deposited at the invasion portal will not count toward summoning the primeval and motes deposited at the bank will not count towards the invasion portal.
You can only deposit motes in increments of 5 up to a max of 15.
5 motes gives you 10 seconds of invasion.
10 motes gives you 20 seconds of invasion.
15 motes gives you 30 seconds of invasion.
Problem 2 (Primeval Melting)
It’s frustrating to see the enemy kill there primeval so fast and the game doesn’t give you the chance to counter it because the invasion portal never opens or never opens in time.
How about for every 25% damage done, the primeval gets entombed in the bank (that black part of the bank you see when motes still need depositing).
Everyone then has to fight each other for 3 minutes even if your primeval is not entombed.
Primeval is entombed
Winning team gets their primeval freed with 2% decrease in health for every guardian defeated up to a max of 10%.
Losing team still gets their primeval freed but with a 2% increase in health for every guardian that was defeated up to full health.
Primeval is not entombed.
Winning team’s primeval’s health will decrease by 2% for every guardian defeated up to a max of 10%.
Losing team’s primeval’s health will increase by 2% for every guardian that was defeated up to full health.
Once either primeval loses another 25% health another fight will happen.
The fights only happen for every 25% damage done. So if you lose and your primeval’s health went up by 10% to 15% another fight won’t happen until your primeval gets down to 40% health depleted. If you won and your primeval’s health went down by 10% to 35% then another fight will happen when your primeval gets down to 60% health depleted.
Problem 3 (Looking like an all you can eat buffet when holding 15 motes)
So the enemy is invading and you’re holding 15 motes. Your bank is locked and you know to the invader you look like an all you can eat buffet.
You deserve protection and you can’t always rely on your teammates for help. That is why I’m suggesting an increase in resilience depending on how many motes you are carrying.
5 motes offers a 5% increase, 10 motes a 10% increase and 15 motes a 15% increase in resilience.
So now the invader is going to have to work harder and shoot you more since you are holding 15 motes.

So now let’s talk about adding some new exotic armor that can only be obtained in Gambit and offers perks exclusively in Gambit.
I don’t know what these new exotics should look like but I do know what they should do.
There will be 4 exotics. 1 helmet, 1, gauntlet, 1 chest and 1 leg. Like any other exotic only 1 can be equipped at a time.
Helmet: You deal significantly more damage to combatants and invaders.
Gauntlets: You never lose your grip and can hang onto your motes even when faced with defeat. Keep all your motes when defeated by a combatant or invader
Chest: You’re like a tank and can withstand a ton of damage from combatants or invaders before being defeated.
Legs: In and out they won’t even know we were here. -The Drifter. When invading you move significantly faster and can jump higher and can catch up to your opponents with ease.
I think this will help improve the Gambit experience and will make it a fair and fun game for everyone.
