Is this something that’ll be closing, or would I be able to participate even with my dreadfully long response time?

New Chain Blood reserves
-
Selicy tossed her the bottle. “If some monster winds up crawling back with us, and I don’t have any blood to fight it with.. Well, I’ll probably be too preoccupied with that to bothef following through with any threats, but that better not happen.”
-
"Oh you worry too much!" Nil opens the bottle and whispers a spell in Elvish. The blood rises into a small cloud of red mist, then she extends a hand and it passes over you. "There, Magic Sunblock to keep you from becoming a pile of ashes and keep 'Snowy' from scolding me for the next century!"
-
“Well, thanks, I guess. Er, tell your sister I said thanks too, wherever she is. Lucien’s probabpy freaking out about me being gone so long, so I guess I’d better get going.” She waved, and started walking away.
-
"She says farewell," Nil says, glaring at empty space.
To be honest all I prepped for this was a chart with a bunch of random encounters and the premise being "Winter Solstice = Longest Night Of Year! Maybe I do some spookery with that?" Everything's been improvised and the ending was always just sorta "You survived yay!" and I added this while a bit sick and sleep deprived thinking it was a good idea at the time.. This wasn't supposed to be anything serious with plot, just something to get back into the feel of it... sorry!
-
Heheh, don’t worry, I thought it was fun. I appreciate that you added a little story bit when I went looking for one, rather than just booting mr out of Nowhere anyway. I also like how Ann never questioned the nicknames once, but Nil questioned it the first one she heard. At the beginning I was debating playing as Selicy or Sunshine, and in retrospect I kinda wish I played as Sunshine, because she’d be freaking out the entire time, and that would’ve been funny. :p

New new chain
You both make a mad dash bursting throught the alleyway and onto open street, the sounds claws upon concrete and hissing beasties right on your heels. Then you both emerge from the mists and seemingly into the eye of the storm, the sounds of the nightmares ceasing. A cylindrical wall of mist rises to the sky where a violet moon watches from above around a small courtyard and the ruins of the once grand Temple of Bernthal. Beyond a few remnants of walls you see a pair of doors flapping in the wind, and in the center of the courtyard between you and the doors stands an obelisk of dark oily ice. Wordlessly, Ann approaches the obelisk.
-
“Well this place looks important.” Selicy said, as she looked around. “You still following that thread? It’s got to lead here, right? The source should be around here somewhere, I would think.” She walks up next to Ann, abd stares up at the obelisk. “Looks like this caught your eye. What’s up with it?”
-
"Oh this is definitely it! Some sort of anchor keeping you tethered to your city, but why? How?" She looks to the temple doors and her eyes slowly follow something back to her feet, "Huh. Anyway, this is well beyond me, but I may be able to atleast pull you back to reality."
-
“Wait, that’s it? We just send me bck? But, what about the other people trapped here? And, we still don’t know why I was dragged here in the first place! There’s gotta be a clue or something, right?”
-
She looks back to the doors then to the obelisk and hisses through her teeth, "There may be someone else who knows something." Ann starts walking to the doors with sword raised and continues, " We come to town, then this thing appears? It can't be a coincidence!"
-
Selicy follows after her, keeping a hand on her blood reserves. “Alright, who? And what are our chances of getting an answer out of them?”
-
She pauses at the doors and pushes one open with the sword revealing a long staircase with flickering light below. "My sister, for lack of a better word. We're not exactly chummy these days though. She may help, or she may try to kill us."
-
“There always seem to be murderous siblings around. I’m glad I’m an only child.” Selicy peered down the stairwell. “And you’re thinking she’s down here? I guess I’m ready as I’ll ever be.” She started down the stairwell.
You still in beast mode?
-
Oh, sorry, I probably didn’t explain well enough; she was about to transform, but then the monster scurried off instead of attacking, so she never actually changed.
-
Gotcha, might've changed the reaction
Alit by sconces upon rows of columns you see walls lined with empty hollows where the dead once rested. At its center lies a large stone coffin with a black pointed hat sat atop it and an Elven woman bracing her boot against it as she ties the laces. Turning to you her face shares many features with Ann's, but her black hair is cut short and her eyes are bright rubies. Various charms dangle from her long ears and she is draped in black from head to toe. Her eyes flicker to Ann, then quickly to you with a smirk and raised hands. "I swear the bodies were gone when I got here."
-
“If you say so.” Selicy said with a shrug. “But I better not get jumped by three dozen zombies or anything.” She glanced around the hall, before lowering her eyes back to the woman. “So, we were wondering if you could help us. I somehow wound up in this Nowhere space, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t hitch a ride off a Nissa. Guess I’m, like, part of a thread or something..” She points to Ann. “Anyway, Snowy here seems to think you might know what’s going on. Got any clue?”
-
"Snowy? Nissa? Wait you can see her?" The dark one approaches quickly and pokes Ann's nose, "Huh. Alright what's the problem?" "People are dying, come up top and see for yourself." "I don't care about peo-" Ann stabs her in the gut, "-oh I just bought this shirt!" Ann looks to you rolling her eyes as she directs them up the stairs, "See what I have to live with?"
Took a bit to figure out how these characters would interact and there was no outcome where Ann didn't stab her
-
“Uhhh..” Selicy stood there awkwardly for a monent, as she processed the situation. “Well, er, that escalated quickly. Are you.. Okay? You don’t seem too concerned with the whole ‘I just got atabbed’ thing.”
-
"I'm fine thanks, you're thin blooded then? Some diluted bloodline a fe-" Once Ann moves the woman between herself and the door she slides the blade out. You notice no blood from either the sword or the woman's wound. "Up the stairs, Nil." Ann shoves her a bit and takes the sheath off her back to stow the blade.
-
Selicy hisses quietly under her breath, but does her best to keep her anger to herself. Instead she folds her arms, and walks up next to Ann. “Yeah, up the stairs. We didn’tcome down here to hang out in some empty old crypt. We’ve still got stuff to do, alright?”
-
"Fine fine, let's see what all the fuss is about." Returning to the surface the aloof mask Nil wore falls as her brow furrows. Approaching the obelisk she circles it, eyes glowing the same violet as Ann's once did, then cautiously reaches up and pinches the air. Suddenly flickering bolts of magical energy crackle around the obelisk and a thread of light pulsing through every color of the rainbow appears briefly before she releases it. "Right, so good news!" she looks back, "This is only temporary. Short and simple version: Nowhere is hungry so it set some fishing lines out and pulled you in, but the sun's rising and it has to let go soon."
-
“Okay, so does that mean it’s not hungry anymore? This isn’t going to happen tomorrow night, too, is it?”
-
"No no, it chose the night of the Solstice for a reason. Longest night of the year and all that. Speaking of, how do you feel about sunlight? Personally, not a fan."
