*A Victorian dressed(?) figure with a wide brim hat and a cloth over the lower half of their face walks outside. There is a long pistol in their hand, and a sword at their side.*
*they look around to confirm their surroundings , and their searching eyes quickly narrow in disgust*
2 Chain 2 Furious
Entering the temple, you find scattered rubble, shattered benches, refuse, and colorful graffiti. At the center of the chamber lies a large stone coffin and lying upon it is a witch. Draped in a dark cloak with a mane of raven feathers, she rests her head upon her arms beneath a pointed hat, pale Elven ears poking through splayed out black hair.
-
*the sight of a pointy hat momentarily triggers Defiled Keeper of the Old Lords flashbacks (it was... an experience), and the Hunter almost pulls the trigger on instinct, but literally everything else being worn by the witch reassured them this was different, still they do not lower their guard.*
-
She rises, adjusts her hat, and stretches before looking to you with ruby eyes that glow dimly in the dark chamber. "Hello!" She calls out, then inhales deeply, "Is that fresh blood I smell?"
-
*The Hunter takes note of their blood-soaked clothes. not an uncommon sight to see during nights of the Hunt.* Couple ov beasties. *The Hunter does not move, their coincidentally also red eyes, framed by their short black hair and nearly cover by their wide brimmed hat and pull up mask(what're these called?)... do not glow. yeah they're closer to... Blood Orange(?) than Ruby.
They have a red scar over their left eye too... was this all necessary? I realize no but I typed it all already without realizing, whoops.
*
-
"What fun!" She smiles, flashing a pair of fangs, and starts to approach. "Here I thought this place had grown dull in my absence. I am Annilese Volariden," she mocks a curtsy, "Can I help I help with something? Nothing in here but dead things I'm afraid..."

Edited by Sumpig-2: 12/25/2021 9:16:32 PMIda Kno.
pretty sure that's how I spelt it
*The Hunter performs a Gesture resembling a Cainhurst bow (right arm out, left hand in) upon hearing the familiarish name, but not enough to greatly move their pistol off the figure.* Do you know where I can find beasts?
-
"Out and about I suppose. I've not left this chamber since I arrived the night before."
-
Ah. Then do you know how to stop this Hunt?
-
"Maybe, once I know what it is, exactly." She looks past you through the door, and moves to walk past you.
-
*The Hunter steps away to the side.*
-
Stepping out of the temple she looks around around courtyard, then examines the obelisk. Reaching out she plucks the air around it and threads of magic appear flashing various colors. "I assume you don't care for the details, but I think I can atleast send you back from whence you came, if you desire."
-
*the Hunter steps forward a bit.* How?
-
Magic! I pull on a thread, snap my fingers, and you should be transported from this dark reflection back to the city as it should be.
-
...alright.
-
"Right then, good luck!" She reaches out and pulls a thread down, a dissonant screech echoing throughout the courtyard, then snaps her fingers and disintegrates as a blinding light bursts from the obelisk. And then you're standing in the center of the city, confused citizens filling the streets and the sun rising in the distance.
Sorry if you were wanting more, I didn't really have much planned for this. Was just supposed to be a short thing to shake the rust off and get a feel for it again before I work on anything bigger. And damn do my wrists hurt from all this typing!
-
nah that's fine. I haven't done an RP in a while so it was fun while it lasted. Thanks 👍

New Chain cuz scrolling
The screaming came from the creature as it gave chase. Skittering across the buildings on six limbs, it drops down to the street and watches you with three pairs of pale white eyes and smiles, licking needle like teeth.
-
*completely unfazed, the Hunter, who is running a Bloodtinge build, applies some bone marrow ash to their Evelyn, and gives kitty a test shot.*
-
It leans away and the shot grazes its side, but instead of blood a shadowy mist rises from the wound. The nightmare then lunges forward, slashing with its front claws!
-
*the Hunter dashes forward to meet its claws with their sword (it's a Chikage) and hip fire the pistol at the beasts chest*
-
You trade blows, slashing across its chest as it catches your leg, and then your shot knocks it on its back with a yelp, momentarily stunned!
-
*The Hunter takes this opportunity to take their fist, and shove it deep into the monsters chest before kicking it back. The visceral allows them to recover from their recent wounds.*
They've got Clawmark (2)(+20% visceral) and Blood Rupture (3) (+300 health on visceral) along with Communion (3) (+4 Blood Vials). Covenant is the Confederation, but that's ...coop health I think? Basically I'm using my 2nd run Hunter build so I'll just spew the rest here to get it set n done. Dunno why I didn't do this earlier... Old Hunters hat, Maria's Drip for chest and gloves, and Cainhurst dress for the legs, yeah I went female this run, but the clothes work out p well. They've got that messy bob cut or whatever so hair shouldn't be a problem. They've got a Chikage and a Rakuyo (that was a pain to get). Evelyn and Flamething, but ima just switch that to a torch now cause I never use the Kettle or silver Kettle. No Hunter Tools, got no arcane, and just a few Molotovs, some various knives, Oil, blue juice, and bone marrow ash. Plus some meds. That's basically it.
-
The nightmare screams again and explodes into a black mist as you kick it back! And your wounds recover!
-
*the Hunter stares...* eh? *the Hunter seems to have misjudged the danger of the creature based on its appearance... Oh well. The Hunter now looks around.*
-
Looking down the street you see the nightmare smiling as it backs away into the mists...
