Why do people in muscle cars feel the need to posture up and flex on cars that aren't even in the same league? Lmao

Me in my shitty Outlander Sport that I put a cherry bomb on 'cause why not?: driving as normally would, popped into neutral at light just to rev it out a bit 'cause I like my wimpy 4 cyl growl. Paying absolutely zero attention to the vehicle behind me. Camaro bro: immediately changes to other lane and aggressively short shifts up to next signal Me: Okay? Not trying to race, my car thinks it has torque but it's slow af Camaro bro: aggressively accelerates around vehicle in front of him and speeds on to next signal Me: 👁 👄 👁 pulls up beside him at signal with music blasted Camaro bro: drag race mode activated! oh -blam!-! red light 10 feet away, down shifts while aggressively rev matching Me: noticeably shrugging while pulling up beside him at signal with music blasted. Pretends to get ready to race him only to turn indicator on and turn into gas station driveway Like, why? A stock 'Maro is making like what? 300 hp or close to it? Meanwhile I, in the much heavier vehicle am making an estimated 127 IIrc. Why so intimidated by my crappy 4 cyl compact suv?

  • I don't do that in my car, but I do like the sound of the 485 horses galloping under my hood. The last thing I need is a ticket or an accident. It's bad enough the orange color catches the eye of not just the po-po, but everyone else. Then again, I waited a long time to have a muscle car, and every so often, I let it loose on the country roads where I live.
