Destiny 2 is crashing my PC

This is gonna be a long one purely because of how complicated this issue is. This problem has been happening ever since Season of the Lost released and I've been trying to find a solution for awhile now with the help of some friends who know more about computers than me( I am not tech savvy in the slightest). When destiny 2 crashes my PC it crashes in a very specific way. As soon as I select a character my entire PC freezes then crashes. And after it crashes it brings me to the Bios or whatever its called I only remember my friend calling it that. The weird part is that after my PC has crashed and turned back on it doesn't crash when I try to play D2 again. In fact it has never crashed again after crashing 1 time then playing the game once the PC comes back on. But if I shut down my PC normally then turn it back on then try to play Destiny 2 it crashes my PC again. Even my friend who is really into computers and building them is baffled by this issue since its only happening with Destiny 2. I've tried the usual things of verifying game files( it said a file was missing one time so I thought that was the issue but after it installed the file the problem continued to happen and verifying again it said there was no issue), uninstalling and then reinstalling but another weird thing happens after those. Sometimes after I try a potential fix the game may go awhile without crashing but always crashes eventually. However the way it crashes is even weirder than before. First my game audio breaks but I don't mean it goes completely silent. The dialogue volume dies but the sound effects are still there then I start to have issues with my hud and I can't interact with vendors but can still walk around then finally my PC crashes and I'm brought to the Bios. Im still able to play destiny 2 by letting my PC crash one time then running being able to play the game again but I don't want that to be a fix since the crashing could be damaging my PC and even if it wasn't it's a major annoyance. Just to clarify one more time it is not Destiny 2 crashing to desktop or anything it is my PC crashing with the whole your computer has run into a problem thing. I'm sorry that this was so long there's a lot of little details I didn't want to leave out in case they were important. I would greatly appreciate and advice on potential fixes. To clarify I have not noticed any issues similar to this in any of my other games or even any performance issues since this problem started happening a few months ago.

Hi there! Please follow the steps outlined below to provide an accurate system report. Please do not follow these steps while Destiny 2 is running. 1. Restart your machine. 2. When you log in, please click on the Windows icon on the lower left, then type dxdiag. If typed correctly, only one command should appear. Please click it. (If you need to enter the credentials of an administrator of the PC, please do so). 3. Allow the tool to run. A green bar should progress on the bottom portion of the window. If you receive any dialogue boxes as it progresses, please address them accordingly. 4. Once the tool is completed, please click on the "Save All Information" button. Save the resulting text file in an easy to find location, such as your Desktop. Then, close the tool. 5. Open the text file you just created and copy all of text to your clipboard by selecting all of it (Ctrl+A) and copying it (Ctrl +C OR rightclick and click Copy). Then, close the file. 6. Go to pastebin.com 7. In the text box below, paste all of the text in the box. 8. If you would like to make your system specs hidden, you can change the Paste Exposure to Unlisted. This will hide it from the Public section of the site but still allow people to view your Paste. Then, click the Create New Paste button. 9. Copy the resulting URL and reply back to this comment with the URL.
