Two things to say, one positive and one suggestion

First, this event and dlc are both great. The dungeon feels great, the racing section is intense and I appreciate that a lot. Haven’t tried it on master yet but I’m sure that’ll give it the difficulty I’d like to see it have. The section where it plays the destiny 1 ost “the traveler” as you come out of the tunnel made me and my buddy stop in our tracks immediately and feel super nostalgic, and we both loved that. So everything we’ve experienced so far, which is just about everything we could do in this first day(idk if there is time limited stuff, and we aren’t level 16 at xur yet) is amazing and I’m glad I purchased this content. But, there is a single thing I’d suggest a change to. The forerunner sidearm. It feels great in PvE and I have no issues or suggestions for it there. But in pvp... it has some issues. I went in with a full setup based around using it as much as I could, and as effectively as I could, and it felt completely lacklustre. I for now think the 3 shot kill is fine, but the issue lies in how much ammo you are given. With a scavenger on, I was picking up either 3 or 5 shots at a time, and with it taking 3 to kill, that isn’t enough. You also spawn with 8 which I’d suggest spawning with a full mag instead, or at least 10 shots to make it feel easier to start with. I also suggest having scavenger pickups give either 7-9 shots or 4-5 for the smaller pickups so you aren’t required to have literally perfect aim to get a kill after an ammo pickup. To put it into perspective, shotguns can pick up I believe 3? Shots with scavenger, which means you can get 3 kills, and also very easily, off of every ammo pickup. Getting the same amount of ammo per pickup as a shotgun when it takes 3 times the amount of shots, regardless of it having a range advantage, is not balanced with the way the game works right now. So to recap super fast, everything so far is amazing, I legitimately enjoy everything they’ve added so far, and I’m very happy with my purchase, but I do believe the forerunner needs an ammo buff in pvp to make it more competitive and viable.

  • First of all, thanks for being one of the only people on here that knows what giving feedback means. Second, I find myself on the side that feels Forerunner is in a great spot and doesn’t need to be changed. On its own, it’s not that great but if you use all the sidearms mods, it can be a real monster. Especially when you land all of your shots. I had a few games where it was pretty much all I used and was constantly getting ammo (6 ammo from a guardian who didn’t use their special).
