    Starting off by saying that this is totally directed at Bungie and not the poster who was kind enough to answer my question: I was in the Tower and I saw someone's name pop up that they 'found ciphers', then like 2 seconds later, that same name popped up and found the ascendant shards. I couldn't help but wonder if that's what they really wanted to do... If this happens to enough people, that's your flag to think, "Dang, we didn't make this clear enough or something didn't work the way we wanted it too in-game." Either way it's something that should be addressed, especially since the initial reason the pack was given out was due to a large customer service failure with the loss of the Forsaken dlc it should be remedied. Sure, Bungie decides not to handle every single piece of accidentally infused or dismantled something-or-anothers that happens every day, but this is an extremely special circumstance. If you can't help people get what they want from the items meant to be a reward for making a purchase and spending their money with your company, then why give it out at all? And if Bungie actually had a phone number or e-mail for these customer service issues that'd be something, but it's like they are relying on us to 'customer service' each other, so they don't need to invest in it. Which is disheartening to have a company large enough to produce such great content not care enough about its community to help it. I just started playing this game back in June, okay? I've spent more money on a game than I ever have ever. I don't pay for full-price new games, I wait until they are older, cheaper. So why would I continue to spend money on this company that obviously isn't going to protect my own interests at least somehow? Even if you can't restore what was lost because that's not your policy (and no one would [i]want[/i] to be responsible every little dismantled or infused thing across the entire game on a regular basis- I get that), someone has to be able to do [u]something[/u] right? Why is there no options but "Do everything perfectly all the time in-game, even though people are not perfect" or "suffer if you don't"? What a terrible atmosphere to play in.

  • If you'd like to leave feedback, you should take this and head over to the Destiny 2 - Feedback forum. The teams that look for feedback don't regularly visit the help section due to it being about bugs and glitches, not about general things people don't like.

  • I also made this mistake and have seen multiple others make it. Is it possible that Bungie could either implement this mechanic better on their end, or clarify their own help forums which specify “ If all Exotic weapons have been purchased, the Ciphers can be turned in for an Ascendant Shard.”? This makes it sound conditional to me, and not something that can occur ALSO when you don’t have all unlocked.
