SOLO Players FYI- Gjjallarhorn is tied to the New Dungeon
As a solo player, I was not aware that you needed a fireteam to get Gally. I have never done a raid and do not care to do one. I'm fine with missing out on 1k and such.
I know they advertised a Quest for the new Exotic sidearm, but for Gally it just said unlock. I was under the assumption it would be like Salvo or Ascendancy.
Just an FYI before you buy

Being a solo player I knew Gjallarhorn was a quest from multiple sources all confirming it was a quest item, including Bungie, and I ran into the dungeon solo. I spent most of my day in there solo and figured it out just fine. The only issue I had was a lack of damage for the bosses. But even then it wasn't a terrible experience because I was able to pretty easily 2 man the last encounter and every other encounter leading up to it was pretty easily solo-able with more damage phases. It's not a raid with only 3 safe damage phases and the last being a wipe without any hope of recovery. Now is the Dungeon's advertised light not quite fitting the difficulty, yes. It was a way harder experience and I am pretty sure that I had more trouble with the health bars being girthier than I'm used to in a dungeon. TLDR: It can be soloed and I had most of the encounters done solo with the last only being a 2-man because of the lack of damage for the final boss. Be warned about soloing though because it is way more difficult solo than in a team. I was 1355/6 when I went through it solo and I had issues with lack of damage, I can't imagine how bad Master difficulty is going to be when I decide to go through that.

Just an FYI before you buy[/quote] If you looked with your own damn two eyes and not just your wallet, you would see that Gjallarhorn was said to be apart of a quest, hell we even got YouYubers to tell us that. So quit -blam!-, and simply post a -blam!- lfg, I did and it took us 1 hr 48 minutes, we had a great time, and I barely knew these people once the raid was done. And as for the steps after Gjallarhorn they were so -blam!- easy, a grandma could do them. SO QUIT YOUR -blam!- -blam!- Fyi: I also am a Solo player so, don't just don't put thate excuse up

You only have to complete the dungeon once to get the rocket launcher.

Honestly, this dungeon is more doable than any others solo. I'd say hop in and try it. Maybe watch a video first if you want.

8 RepliesListen guys: SOME PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO SEARCH FOR TEAMS TO DO A DUNGEON no matter anyone elses opinion. I’m playing solo since feb -2016. Bungie promised Gjallarhorn, I paid, I should’ve known better. I main Hunter, hate Jumping puzzles, never ever did a dungeon.. (don’t like it..period). And now I’m left empty handed. I tried, oh yes… after 2 hours I got to the big Ogre.. and I just had enough of this sh*t. Bungie should’ve been clear “yes, we gladly take your money, but if you want Gjallarhorn you’ll have to do this and this.“ Maybe I would’ve paid anyway.. maybe I wouldn’t. Now I feel robbed of an opportunity.

People that makes comments like this always have the best time if they do a raid with a decent team. The turds are actually the minority out there. They're usually afraid to talk to other people and/or fear the unknown, but actually want to do it. Crazy way to live imo. But, do you. If you're truly solo, then why the need for a fireteam? Don't enjoy the challenge?

4 RepliesIt takes very little to get people to do the dungeon for it. Especially now. I mean if you've got crippling anxiety or something I get it. But to be blunt Gjallarhorn was tied to the Dungeon and most of us knew it.

I'm so confused I don't know what to believe anymore... SMH

Solo it, sure it might be hard for someone who isnt a pve god, but definently possible.
