Gambit Engrams should only drop gambit weapons
If gambit engrams would only drop gambit weapons, making it plausible for people to be able to finally farm bottom dollar at a reasonable rate than more people would actually play gambit especially if there were other weapons that were worth seeking out.
Much like Saint 14 with trials weapons. You won’t get a large whirlpool from Saint 14 you only get trials weapons. I think more people would feel compelled to play Gambit if the system were the same, perhaps it should be that way for crucible and Vanguard especially in the future if there are worthy weapons that are particular to those playlist.

I forgot which update they mentioned it in, but all core playlists plus IB will be getting the Trials loot treatment in an upcoming season. The way it currently works is that the older playlist exclusive weapons have an abysmally small drop rate compared to the new ones (which is why you have more rolls of Sorrow's Verse from Crucible than anything else right now), so hopefully, it truly becomes targeted loot.... Probably would've been a good use for the crucible tokens there, but whatever. I'm not sure if they'll change anything about Clan Engram loot though. It'll probably still be randomised world drops but I still get peeved if I see one from Gambit/Crucible and get something like Tangled Shore armour. At the same time, I guess the fact that other clan members can earn it for you so you can easily log in once a week to collect without doing anything balances that out. Anyway, yeah, I hope that update comes soon, especially for Gambit and Iron Banner. Tired of getting the same, unimpressive loot and would love to be actually be able to farm specific rolls.
