Tell us about an obscure or rare film that you enjoy, but are not well known.
My entry is Escanaba in da Moonlight.
It’s a story about a middle aged man born to family of hunters, but due to possible cosmic horrors and alien intervention he is yet to bag a buck. It’s a whacky adventure of idiots in the woods combatting the paranormal while trying to have a good hunting season.

“My Name is Nobody” Western (possibly a Spaghetti Western some might call it). Story of a young gunslinger and an old gunslinging Lawman. It’s about respect, honor, dignity and has some fun along the way. One of Henry Fonda’s little known roles (old gunslinger Lawman). Starring Terrence Hill (young gunslinger). I don’t know why I live this movie so much. I have watched it over and over for 30 years.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. I think thats what its called, anyway it was a very strange twist on the story of King Arthur. Oddly it had very many snake themes and pyramids and eyes, it seemed like it was trying to send out a subliminal Illuminati message or something. Another weird part about said movie is that it featured the song Light of Aiden, which is the song used in Halo ODST.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington was a good movie Watched it for English class, oldest movie I've seen I think, 1939 I'll do another Inglourious Basterds. Classic. Christoph Waltz is a darn good actor too. One more Shadow in the Clouds Not cause it's good, heck nah.
It's trash. Terrible. It was going mediocre for a while until the secret package was revealed. I don't think I've ever witnessed a movie flop so hard in my life trying to be something only to 180 half way in. Going from half-baked horror mystery to Mission Impossible on a Flying Fortress and trying to cover it up with maternal love. And I watched the Monster Hunter movie after that. Right after. Back to back. MH had a more coherent plot than SitC. It was so bad it became entertaining to laugh at once I suspended disbel- yeah no I couldn't... it was dumb.
The Jackal Almost Famous

Detroit Metal City The protagonist has always wanted to perform sappy, upbeat Jpop but has only found success as the lead man in a death metal band.
-
Lucky Number Slevin It has Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, and Lucy Liu in it, but I haven't met anyone else who's even heard of it.

Edited by Psyntifik: 12/6/2021 3:49:23 PMGod Bless America. Jojo Rabbit. Hobo With A Shotgun. Office Space. Super. I also struggle to find anyone outside of the UK that has seen Children Of Men, and frankly that's unacceptable.

Coraline was hands down one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.
Yes, I'm prepared for laughing.
Not sure if it's well known or not, but it was kinda obscure.

Dracula with Frank Langella from 1979. I think that is one of the best versions, despite not being true to the book. If you like the Matrix then watch Dark City, 1998. For Alien fans I’d suggest, It! The Terror from Beyond Space from 1958. If you like scary then see Magic from 1978 with a young Anthony Hopkins.

Long Way North. It’s about a girl who sets out from home to find her grandpa’s ship that was lost at sea. I remember finding it really enjoyable, but I’ve never met a soul who’s watched it.
