Story arc bungie bungie started but never finished
What are some story arcs you've always wanted bungie to finish?
My top 3:
Arcite & Dahlia's story arc about what makes them unique frames. In lore it was brought up several time in D1 and hinted at in D2, but never finished.
Exo Rasputin story arc. It's been a year since Arrivals and we still haven't seen Exo Rasputin.
Lysander and the Concordat faction. I was hoping that the exile of factions during season of the splicer would lead to the return of lysander and Concordat.

2 RepliesA lot of ones from D1. Like Siva or the Black Garden. Even the Dreadnought is hanging out in space full of Hive and the potential to blow up half the Sol system.

Pretty much all of them. It's like they have ADHD they jump around and never seem to finish anything. It's a big reason why Bungies story telling is so bad to me.

4 RepliesThere's a lot of these. One of my favorites is the fact that Elsie is on the comms with someone when she meets us on Venus in D1. At that point, she hasn't met Mara, Drifter's still hanging out either in his bar or with the Shadows, and Eris was still trapped on the moon. Original story has her working with Osiris, but that was one of the things that never got brought back after the rewrite. Who is she talking to?

The Alliance Quest with Drifter and the Vanguard, it was really interesting and when you picked a side there was a message that said, “this choice will have future consequences”

8 RepliesThe ambiguity surrounding the death of kinox is one that kind of annoys me slightly. Would kind of like that to be answered. Obviously the Efrideet and the stuff for the Pacifist Colony would be nice to get something on. Hunter Vanguard seat is one that either needs to be resolved or needs to be dropped publicly. The fate of Lavinia would also be nice to see, and whether "The Witch" she encountered was Savathun or not.

7 RepliesThat every story arc. Since halo. Maybe 343 could make destiny 3 and work towards some type of conclusion that sort of makes sense. Bungies games sell the story based on its complexity and keeping everyone wonder how possibly so many loose ends could be neatly wrapped up. Spoiler they don’t and they can’t. It’s easy to shoot guns in the air. It’s a lot harder to catch all the bullets before they hit the ground.

I don’t see why Lysander should be expected to come back. I never got that impression.

Haven't been able to find much info. I want to imagine Clovis would have some further knowhow to enhance Rasputin abilities, help stick him in his "body" and still allow him to activate his protocols from anywhere, and transfer his AI to backup "bodies". [spoiler]This concept is making me think of Age of Ultron now...but Rasputin and all.[/spoiler] ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The second makes sense though. Rasputin has no connection to Savathûn and the story of Witch-Queen. However, he does have a connection to the Darkness itself, hence the likelihood that a season in year 5 will see his return.

Which is they are the only 2 Frames that developed a Need for Battle, nearly becoming Sentient, like Rasputin, Fail Safe. There's not much of a Story there. Well, not enough for a DLC. 2) Rasputin. Rasputin is a Complex Sentient WarMind. Putting the Remnants of his Mind in an Exo Brain is highly Complex. An Exo mind wasn't designed to hold a Being like Rasputin as his mind stretches from Planets to Moons. Anything within SOL. He will most likely make an Appearance in a Season in WQ. 3) the 2 Factions. Concordats is an Extinct Cult that was Taken in by FWC. Lysander, in Lore, is still in Exile. Given what happened in S14, the Factions are gone. Only possible thing Faction wise, would be in LightFall.

Might even be a season next year based around it. Could also be saved for lightfall.

Lysander is a big one for me. Arguably not a loose thread but I think there is so much to the factions that could(‘ve) be(en) used but wasn’t. Which stinks but still. I’d like to think he’d be a good either Calus like figure trying to coax us in a different direction or an all out villain.
