Hi there. To change an account linked to your profile, you must deactivate Cross Save first, which requires you to authenticate the login credentials of each account. Please be aware that deactivating Cross Save for any reason requires players to wait 90 days before it can be reactivated. You can switch Steam account links at any time during or after the 90 days.
You should be able to authenticate the account by reentering the same email and password you used when setting up your Cross Save. If you are unable to authenticate the right credentials or you've deleted the Steam account, you'll need to contact Steam Support to see if they can help.

For security and privacy reasons, Bungie will not forcibly remove the account from your profile nor can they swap it with a different Steam account of your choosing.

well I authenticated the xbox acc but it is still linked. How do I unlink it

To unlink an account on the web, click on your avatar icon in the top right and select Settings, then Account Links. Click the "Unlink" button next to the account you want to unlink and authenticate the credentials.

It would suck to know this cross save thing or account is permanent especially without a way of accessing the other platforms

Is there a way to delete this bungee acc so I can link my psn someplace else? I can’t recover the steam acc that was deleted.

Accounts cannot be linked to multiple profiles at the same time and since your account is part of a Cross Save, even if you unlinked it, the 90-day lockout would still apply to that account regardless of what profile you relink it to.

Steam verified that the account bhuynhnguyen2003 does not exist nor can be recovered. How do I unlink the account if you guys can not do it for me exceptionally. I have the chat from steam to prove the account does not exist.

If you no longer have access to a linked account, you will need to reach out to the specific platform’s support for assistance with account recovery options.[/quote] Since Steam cannot restore the deleted account, your options at this point are to continue playing with your characters on console only, link a Stadia account to play them on PC, or play with separate characters on your main Steam account. You could also play with PC Xbox Game Pass if you have an Xbox account linked.

Ive verified that the psn and xbox accs are mine but there is no way I can take off the steam account at all. its not recoverable so please just 1 time if you can under any circumstances help me delete that steam account. It has no characters for a while and has never been used. Ive spent so many time trying to unlink my steam because no one ever uses it/ no characters. if u cant atleast help me take off the psn acc since I can verify that the psn account is mine. Please. Ive spent so many years on that account with the past Solstice events, Holloween events, and all of Y1 exotics. I was already dissapointed that the exotic quests for Y1 exotics were taken away but they were so much fun. and not I need ciphers in order to get them back plus the ones you cant get with ciphers

I just want to link my psn to my actual steam :/ I bought the DLCs again for nothing then. I was hoping I’d get everything I’ve worked for on console to transfer over. Been trying to unlink for months

if you "accidentally linked a steam account" you 'accidentally' knew the credentials to do that at the time. how is that possible?

That’s why I never played on that steam because I was bummed out I had to restart and noticed that the account doesn’t even exist

Maybe cause I was younger I typed the username as my email that I am currently using with my steam right now. I forgot steam allows a username and then a screen name but I guess I wasnt thinking those were 2 different

Bungie cannot forcefully remove account links for players. If you delete a Steam account that’s part of a Cross Save, then the only possible way to deactivate the Cross Save is to ask Steam if they can recover the account.

So that means this is permanent no matter what I do.. that’s so stupid I was young when I accidentally linked the steam. It wasn’t even a real acc and now that there’s no way of unlinking steam there’s also no way of linking my psn to my actual steam now. Just great
