Hello everyone and hopefully Bungie Employee :))). So I logged in Destiny 2 about after a month since I last played and noticed a minor thing that my name was changed into "Guardian(and some number". I read that this was because of a code of conduct. So I went on to read it in case I violated Amy rules but I don't think I did. Old name is same as my steam account one (never had a problem there) "Noobmaster 69" (Yeah the same that Thor was yelling at XD XD). I don't feel I was disrespectful against anyone or commiting any violation. So if anyone could help me on where I am being wrong here I'd be happy to know Thanks in advance to any that answer the topic. ;)

Sorry for bringing back the topic but I searched in destiny tracker and the same name exists just not for me. Hopefully a Bungie Employee could answer why it was changed? Thank you sincerely.

The name change function isn't available for anyone until Bungie launches it sometime this winter as announced in a couple of recent TWAB's. You'll have to wait until then to change it.
CROSS PLAY NAMES After last week’s announcement about Cross Play and Bungie Names, we wanted to clarify a few things: The display name of the first platform that players log in with to play Destiny 2 beginning at 10 AM PDT on August 24, 2021, will become the player’s Bungie Name. - Platform ID numbers, non-standard characters, and symbols will be removed and excluded. - If a name violates our Code of Conduct, it will be changed to “Guardian.” - Name changes won’t be available until a later update. - For Steam players: your Steam profile name, not your Steam account name, will become your Bungie Name.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/50519
