There are several paths going all sorts of different ways, and many of them containing enemies, traps like rooms full of hazardous SIVA clusters or turrets, sudden drops, etc. Though there is also another loot chest hidden somewhere, if players can find it. The maze is also not just tight tunnels, there are a few wide open rooms as well. One such room is the end of the maze, showing what appears to be the walls of Rasputin’s bunker on the other side, with a hole blown through it. Players jump from where they first enter the room to a platform in the middle before preparing to jump into the hole in the bunker wall. However, the hole is then sealed, as is the hole they came in from. Suddenly, what appears to be a giant, dead Cabal Gladiator is lifted from the depths below onto the platform, held up by SIVA wires. It is called “Remnant of Ba’assk, The Banished.” Ba’assk fights like any Gladiator, occasionally also stomping the ground if players get too close. Upon death, Ba’assk and the SIVA controlling him explode. With that, the hole into the bunker opens, and players enter.
Part 4: Ha’alga, Phoenix of Perfection
Players enter the bunker and navigate some hallways briefly. The halls are strewn with dead Cabal that don’t have any SIVA on them, and the walls are riddled with scorch marks and black Cabal oil. The Fireteam ends up emerging in a room D1 players will be familiar with; The Perfection Complex, the final boss room of Wrath of the Machine. Players slide down to where the room is, and enter the boss area. There, they see the old corpse of Aksis, Archon Prime, still sitting where he was slain years ago. Suddenly, something begins materializing out of thin air in front of the players. A deep voice speaks. “Consume.” The cloud of SIVA begins taking shape into the outline of a Cabal. “Enhance.” The cloud of SIVA dissipates, revealing a giant Incendior that continues to hover before gently gliding down to the ground. The Incendior turns to look at players. “Replicate.” The Incendior then screams as their health bar appears, revealing their name to be “Ha’alga, Phoenix of Perfection.” One noticeable detail is that her head is encased in SIVA similar to many of the Fallen Splicers. The fight starts, Perfected Legion adds spawning in alongside Ha’alga. Instead of shooting fire, Ha’alga’s old flamethrower spews clouds of SIVA spores. After damaging Ha’alga for some time, she drops on one knee. A killfeed message reads as follows: “Ha’alga is enshrouded in SIVA.” A shield is generated around her that cannot be penetrated. Another message reads: “The Lieutenant of Consumption regenerates…” The Phalanx mini-boss from before - Zu’ulnur, Lieutenant of Consumption - reappears in the boss room, though with less health than before. Players must kill Zu’ulnur so he drops a Consumption Node again, bring the Node to where Ha’alga is, and insert the Node into her shield, deactivating it. However, this can only be done while Ha’alga is stunned under her shield. If players take too long, a killfeed message will appear saying: “The Phoenix Ascends…” Ha’alga will stand up and her shield will deactivate after her health is restored. Players will have to damage her again until she is stunned. Either way, once players insert the node, the same killfeed message from before says: “Consumption Node installed” Rather than her shield turning off normally, doing this will cause Ha’alga’s shield to explode, and the SIVA cluster encasing her head will pop open, exposing her bare head. Players will shoot it which will deal critical damage until she gets up and her SIVA helmet closes back up. The process of damaging her repeats again, only this time besides her flamethrower attack, she has now adopted the skill set of Zu’ulnur by being able to drag players towards her in order to consume them. Like Zu’ulnur, when this happens players can damage her until she stops, and if they don’t, she’ll absorb a player which will restore some of her health. The next time she is stunned, there’s the same killfeed message: “Ha’alga is enshrouded in SIVA.” Followed by: “The Lieutenant of Enhancement regenerates…” Now the Psion Luma, Lieutenant of Enhancement, comes back with less health. The same process repeats: kill her, grab the Enhancement Node she drops, (ideally) do all this before Ha’alga can recover so the Node can be inserted. Once this is all done, the killfeed reads: “Enhancement Node installed” Ha’alga’s shield explodes and her head is exposed, critical damage phase, then back to square 1, one more time. During this damage phase, Ha’alga will now also use Luma’s “Psionic Shout” ability to stun specific players before attacking them. Once stunned, it’s time for the last rotation. Ha’alga enshrouds herself in SIVA, and then: “The Lieutenant of Replication regenerates…” The War Beast Ca’uor, Lieutenant of Replication, spawns in. Same process again. Once the Replication Node is acquired and installed, the killfeed says: “Replication Node installed…” But this time, Ha’alga’s shield doesn’t explode. Instead, Ha’alga calmly gets up as the shield casually turns off, as if players were too late. A new killfeed message says, “The Phoenix realizes the Directive…” Ha’alga’s flamethrower fuel tanks, which so far had been dormant and didn’t do anything, and couldn’t be damaged either, ignite out the bottom and turn into essentially an improvised jet pack. Ha’alga’s flamethrower switches from shooting SIVA spores to fire. Ha’alga begins flying around while attacking players with a mix of her flamethrower, her extendable arm, Psionic Shout, and now also Ca’uor’s tracking SIVA Projectiles. Ha’alga’s fuel tanks can now be critically damaged like a normal Incendior while she is flying. Occasionally however, Ha’alga will land on the ground and switch her flamethrower back to SIVA spores, and vice-versa. After reducing her health to almost zero, Ha’alga’s fuel tanks explode and she crashes to the ground. Her SIVA helmet has been completely blown off and her suit spews typical black Cabal gas. The encounter is over. A loot chest spawns which players can collect. Dungeon over.
Thank you so much for reading! Feedback is appreciated. The link to a separate lore post will be posted momentarily.

 • I feel like the Final Boss could have some more mechanics to it overall, as it's mostly a rehash of the Second Encounter. A definitive way to splice it up would be to make each of the mini-bosses have a Special Shield on them, similar to the ones in garden, where you require a buff to break them. What could occur is whenever the first one spawns someone random gains the Empowerment for 30-45 seconds, allowing them to break the sheild. (If empowerment hits 0 seconds, you die.) You would have to break the Sheild/dunk the orb before the timer hits 0, and then damage would start after the dunk. Repeat each phase. I feel that this would overall spice up the final encounter. Maybe even throw in a final stand mechanic. Other than that I quite like it!
