I know that expansion will be a major make or break for some people
And I really enjoy this game so I don’t want it to go down in flames
Some of us still have believe you can do it
-
No real high expectations. - Lackluster story - Insane power grind needed for a raid that comes out the next week - More recycled weapons/armour - Increased focus on Eververse - Crap servers for the first 24 hrs. Before anyone says it let point out the following (spin foil hat needed) : - Yes we've all seen the new armour that was "leaked" was only to build some hype for an incredibly long season 15. - Yes I know the situation we are in, but still they have to keep us engaged for 5 months. - Yes servers do get busy during a big expansion launch, but they should have fixed this by know. Especially since cross-play is launching next season.
-
Just get Elden Ring instead.
-
They wont, bungie fkcing sucks
-
It will be the bare minimum needed for them to day “ we heard your feedback on BL and did x,y and z “
-
It doesn't matter if they do a good job or no. People will buy it anyway. Bungie knows that no matter what they do there will be players who will defend them. At this point it's an addiction. At least for me. I hate what bungie did with this game but i still can't stop playing. No matter how bad they treat us i come back every time...
-
They will do the minimum 5 missions that in involve you standing on plates and holding back 3 waves of enemies until a door unlocks. After that, grind bounties for another 365 days

DO NOT PRE-ORDER -
The best we can do is to not preorder the DLC. The only way for Bungie to produce future high quality content is to affect their profits.
-
I almost want them to delay it further so we can get the experience we want from this 3 year story build up.
-
Just don't have high hopes for it to be good. We haven't had a great expansion since forsaken and that was nearly 3 years ago.
-
I quit when new content became stuff I paid and played 5 years ago, eververse, and putting loot into battle passes. I really used to think this game and company was special and I bought every dlc and expansion happily. After this last year of FOMO tricks play loops that involve almost zero content, I will be finishing the rest of this games story on BYF videos while I happily play something that’s actually fun.
-
It baffles my mind that they are struggling to make a decent amount of content for expansions while they also have a team devoted to their new IP. I am not going to play Matter. If they end up jumping ship I’ll be pissed
-
I think they named the witch Queen Hillary!
-
After 7 yrs of more downs than ups, the game has just ran out of steam
-
I'm at the point where If this expansion is a bust, or if I hear it's haunted, from Bungie. I'm done, I'm out.
-
Bungie, along with terrible leadership and no vision, to the likes of Luke Smith, have ALWAYS been the problem, not Activision. Activision gave this game reverence and excitement with a pocket book to back. Including an actual vision for the games direction. Bungie is nothing more than unimaginative, recycled, rehashed, reused, reissued, reintroduced, reskined, “labeled as new” horde mode activities with super inflated, mind numbing repetitive bounties and empty filler such as seals and triumphs. Anything and everything that was innovative or even remotely close to being game changing or “one of a kind” looter shooter was spear headed by Activision and their resources. Bungie is a terrible game developer with nothing but “cell phone” monetization gimmicks...

Edited by damnter: 7/30/2021 10:48:36 AMProblem is that there's still just no real competition for this game. It's the only fps - mmo type game out there that has so many components. Pve, pvp, gambit. Bungie is milking us and every player with half a brain can see that. There's hardly any new content. Even the last dlc's are hollow and make you repeat the same sh!t in the first week already. Time gating. Rehashed weapons and other content. Bungie should be ashamed for what they're doing to this game and comunity. But they're not. The money keeps comming in and that's all they care about. There's no passion for this game at bungie anymore. It's the milking cow for new projects. But we will all still be playing and buying because, like I sayd, there's no game out there like this one. 🤷♂️

I like your optimism. It will be another tepid expansion of go here and do this with a story that does not satisfy and a season pass of vaguely different horde mode activities. Destiny's best days are behind them. Then again I struggle to remember exactly when that was. Forsaken probably, the like of which we wont see again. It just seems to be limping from one episode of "It could be great" to the next. Its just filler for me now. Bought Cuphead the other day and am pretty much addicted to that. How a game with so little to it like that can be so enjoyable and addictive when you think Destiny has lots to it and manages to be tedious and boring is telling. Crossplay is coming because each platform is losing players. On PS4 I keep seeing the same names in the tower. If Witch Queen ramps it up I will pony up for it. But I'm not holding my breath. -
I'm hoping it's something like forsaken or taken king as imo they nailed it

Not holding my breath, learned that lesson long ago. Set your bar low for destiny.
-
Too bad, Bungie keep failing us since Shadowkeep cause they left Activision. Since then, their contents are pathetic.

Triple A companies are way too greedy, nowadays I usually settle with story driven 1 time purchase or Indie games, the only way to go really... Elite Dangerous has been one of the best purchases for me recently, on sale for 5 euros with basically infinite content and free updates constantly. If you haven't caught on I think someone should tell you, but bungie's main focus is their new ip and destiny 2 is just a cash cow atm, I doubt this will change anytime soon. -
I can almost bet it will be a 3 week story arch that is time gated, and when the raid launches it won't be Savathune.
-
It won’t. It will cause more issues as usual. They will release many new weapons that will be nerfed. Pvp will be worse. Subclasses will be nerfed again. The list goes on. I’m calling it now.
