As the title says, this is a revamp of an older exotic idea that I posted about in the past. I really like this one. And of course it can be tweaked to work better if anyone has ideas.
Exotic Type: Hand Cannon
Archetype: 180 RPM Precision Frame
Element: Void
Theme: ...Magnetic kills...?
- When you damage a target with shots from this weapon, they get marked. Multiple enemies can be marked at once. When you kill an enemy with shots from this weapon, nearby targets marked will be pulled toward the area where the enemy died.
- Rapidly landing shots will build charge for a short time. At 5 stacks of charge, killing an enemy with shots from this weapon will cause a delayed Void explosion at their body and consume the charges.
So if you combine both of the mechanics above, you can pull lots of enemies into a delayed explosion and potentially kill all of them at once. While I doubt it being possible, if it were possible to cause an explosion on the kill based on how many targets were marked around the area, then it could be made where you have to have a minimum of one other target marked in the area to cause the explosion.
I just don't want it to simply be another hand cannon that gets kills and makes things explode in a snap. And I see different utility with this.
