We should be able to use the extra season levels past 100 to unlock old ornaments from old season passes we purchased but never completed.
For the sake of some of the ornaments - I've bought every season pass but for the first two seasons I didnt complete them fully due to personal reasons. My idea is as follows....
Say I got to level 130 in the current battle pass - I would be able to use those extra 30 levels on say Season of the Undying to unlock the old rewards that I missed. I just think it would be nice, even if its only for the old armor ornaments.
Edit 1: It's a shame to see this blow up and then die off, but here is another proposed idea.
Since Ada-1 is now the cosmetic vendor, what if past ornaments rotated in her inventory that we could purchase for a loom?

No reason not to do this. It's not even just seasonal ornaments but any cosmetic that was a handout for a short time period and is no longer obtainable. Ive never been a fan of gatekeeping cosmetics that took no special task to earn. Titles, Day 1 raid emblems, flawless raid shaders, solo flawless dungeon emblems, anything that is an incentive to doing a specific challenge = of course only allow people who earned them to get them. These should not be handed out at a later time, they serve as a way to show off a special accomplishment. Faction shaders and ornaments, old IB ornaments, season pass ornaments though? Make these obtainable later on. These literally took zero effort to get, you just had to be playing the game at the time, and the time was 3 years ago when the game was in a very rough spot to say the least and not many people played. I have every faction shader and ornament and every IB ornament, and I had MAYBE 200 hours on the game in all of year 1. I didn't "earn" shit, I just was there at the right time, and I would love for people to be able to get them now. The same thing applies to season pass ornaments.

Yo man this is a great idea, but since they took armor off of the seasonal pass to sell transmog I don’t see it happening for a few seasons.

If not for the Ornaments allow us to randomly unlock any and all items from previous purchases season passes. Hit 100 your done. Hit 110 give us any random drop from any season we’ve paid for. 120 do the same and continue on and on. Why every 10 levels? I don’t know make it every 5 for all I care. I guess it throws more incentive our way vs expecting it every level up. Obviously planetary materials for planets we can’t use it on should either be excluded or allow us to shard it for glimmer or something useful old armor? Make them Ornaments. Just give us some incentive AND A FEELING that simply because we don’t log on every day for hours on end a way to grind it out now vs “Sorry Guardian we understand you couldn’t play for some reason your just SOL.” If you just don’t play it’s one thing, but if your active military or in a job that has you away for weeks or months at a time a way to at least grind on the back end vs fearing FOMO.

3 RepliesI’ve thought about this before, but with a different take. Once you get past 100 you start getting better chances of better rolls/perks. And it also opens up the chance to get weapons that mostly solo players have little chance of getting otherwise. There is so many lost opportunities that Bungie could have implemented with going past 100.

I’d love this. I bought the deluxe edition of Shadowkeep on the Black Friday of its release, so I only had about a month to play in Season of Undying. I only reached level 70, so I couldn’t get all the ornaments. I already paid for this stuff, and with all of Shadowkeep basically gone, I don’t see the harm of allowing PAID players to get the stuff they paid.

Or just something useful in general. World materials, Glimmer Dumps, etc. I like to masterwork and test a lot of builds and infuse a lot of things so I can always have more materials. The occasional eververse engram is meh.......

Had the same thoughts. If we get to season level 100 on the pass. Could we just get old rewards we missed from Life hitting us with the damn ugly stick at random times? Might be weird for them to do. But Honestly if we had old season passes we missed out on or did not fully complete I would love to see an option to spend some Bright dust for ones we missed. Glimmer/whatever for ones we had and didn't complete.

9 RepliesBUMP! God I hate how I bought a season pass and I dont even have an option to get the awards I technically paid for. I bought the pass, I got to level 60. Back then, I didn't know how to maximize XP so even though I played more, I never earned enough.
