Three times IB has been available this season, I’ve completed all the bounties on all 3 characters each time. The last 2 IB events I’ve been solely focused on obtaining 2 items that have alluded me - a good stat roll Hunter helmet and a TWS with quickdraw. Last event and just now I saved up all my earned tokens and traded them all in on my Hunter. I received 1 “ok” Hunter helmet (of the dozens I’ve gotten during the event) that I can kind of make work with my armor. One. But what’s absolutely crushing is that I just traded in 749 tokens - that’s about 37 or so rewards - and I received (roughly): 5 arms 5 legs 6 chests 3 helmets 4 capes 6 grenade launchers 2 scouts 2 auto 1 hand cannon 2 rocket launchers and... 1 TWS ONE! And as has been my luck with Destiny...it wasn’t one with QuickDraw. So...after 3 events, 36 bounties, 2,250 tokens earned (roughly), about 500 MORE tokens earned last event solely on my Hunter (after the bounties were completed), 15+ TWS as well as all the other weapons and armor pieces earned - I did not receive even ONE TWS with QD (even a bad rolled one with QD)!!! The amount of hours I’ve spent trying to just simply get 1 workable Hunter Helmet and 1 TWS with QD is absolutely insane. I’ve never assumed with anything in Destiny that the very first drop would be EXACTLY what I was hoping for - I know I have to earn these specific rolls I’m hoping for - but come on - I think I’ve certainly done my part here to grind for these items and it’s absolutely crushing to turn in 749 tokens just now and get ONE TWS!!! I know the joke about the definition of crazy - but I keep thinking that THIS IS THE TIME I’m going to finally earn what I’ve been striving and working for...and rarely - very rarely - does it actually ever happen. But just like the last IB event when I swore I was done with this BS - putting in all the work and time to just get these 2 items - but I was back at the grind the next day. For as demoralized as I am right now I’m also pissed/motivated - so I’m going to focus that anger and do the insane thing of jumping back in to IB and earn even more tokens to trade in. I’m going to force you Bungie to FINALLY bestow on me that which I’ve been striving towards - 1 TWS with Cleanshot IB, Accurized Rounds (or Ricochet Rounds - I’m not picky), QUICKDRAW, IRON GRIP, and just because I’m pissed...A RANGE MASTERWORK!!! You will not break me Bungie... To be continued... UPDATE - 5 more rewards opened today and...ZERO TWS!!!! Oh, but I got 10,000 frozen orbits, fools remedy’s, Guiding Sight’s, etc as rewards from the hours of matches - but NOT ONE TWS of any kind (let alone the one I’m after). Great - just add todays hours to the countless others I’ve already spent just trying to get this one weapon. If the Destiny Gods by some miracle are truly reading this...I’m sorry for whatever I’ve done to offend and/or upset you - but I think I’ve paid for my sins already (read everything I’ve done to atone above). I’m just working towards the TWS I listed above. Tomorrow’s a new day and I’ll be back at it hoping and praying that the next reward will be THE ONE... To be continued... UPDATE 2 - Well...4 more rewards from today and...NO (ZERO) TWS’s. Z...E...R...O. And I’m not counting the 2 weapon drops from matches. I’m now beginning to wonder if I’ve just been imagining that there’s a pulse rifle called Time Worn Spire. Is there a milk carton somewhere that I can post a LOST picture: Have You Seen: TWS with QuickDraw, Cleanshot, Accurized Rounds, Iron Grip, and a Masterwork Range???!!?? If so - please give it to the Iron Lord marked for Talisman6. And you say Bungie that it’s just “random rolls”...please spare me...there is just no plausible explanation why, after everything I’ve done (see original post), that I’ve not “random rolled” the weapon I’m grinding for. Absolutely no rational. My prayers to the Destiny God’s will continue, at least for today, to go unheard. Maybe tomorrow will be THE DAY my prayers are finally answered...stay tuned. To Be Continued... UPDATE 3 - No gun. The realization is setting in that this is just not, for whatever reason, going to happen for me. No matter the countless hours I’ve spent driving towards this ONE weapon/roll - the game just will not award me it. Whether it’s 20 tokens for 2000 tokens between now and Tuesday - it’s just not going to matter. To Be Continued (maybe)... UPDATE 4 - With renewed confidence and rest I returned today to my quest. Well...5 rewards tonight and 2 IB weapon drops from matches and...ZERO TWS!! None, zilch, goose egg. So far this event I’ve gotten (let me tally it up...) - a grand total of 1 - ONE - TWS!! Let alone the weapon that I’m struggling towards. But...I did get killed A LOT by the exact TWS I’m after during one match. Boy that was fun - kinda like the Destiny Gods saying “is this the weapon you want? Here...let me show you how effective it is. But...YOU can’t have it!!” I would say that this quest is getting ridiculous...but I passed “ridiculous” A LONG TIME AGO. There continues to be absolutely no rational explanation why this weapon with the roll I’m after hasn’t dropped yet. None. With only one day left - will the Destiny Gods finally reward my efforts and sacrifice with the weapon I want OR will they once again completely ignore all the work I’ve put in? Time will tell... To Be Continued... UPDATE 5 - I just received a TWS after my last match!! It’s an absolutely terrible roll with Iron Gaze but at least I finally got one!! Maybe today will be THE day! Or...Bungie is just toying with me? At this point it could be either. 😂 To Be Continued... FINAL UPDATE - Nope - wasn’t in the cards for me apparently. More than anything I feel...cheated, robbed even, by this damn game/company. Just once it would’ve been nice to finally have something go MY way in this game. But it wasn’t to be.
