This I am afraid is the world we live in now. Raising children to have respect for others is rare. I honestly think some have been dragged up in the gutter with some of the languages and hate they write on these forums. The other problem is they are sat behind a device screen and think they are big and clever as nobody can get at them. We are seeing this issue with more and more people leaving social media due to racism, homophobia, and just general hate. I have experienced some of this on here I turned down the opportunity to be a moderator for that and some other reasons. I have always shown respect and kindness but I too am now biting back at some which sadden me greatly. I also left this forum for a couple of months or so as you have stated you are doing. Reddit however is not without its share of toxic and hate. I wish you well and hope you will return in the future.
