There was no need
I don't know what the purpose of fixing the glitch that allowed me to compete strikes alone. I do not enjoy doing strikes with people who completely ignore the fact that they are in a fireteam. And that the other person may have objectives to complete. They speed run through with loadouts that give them infinite supers or grenades. I'm almost about finished playing this game after 6 1/2 years of playing this 53 year old is fed up with the shenanigans.

Maybe they have an objective to complete too like 3 strikes for a pinnacle, I wouldn't want to slowly go through a strike I've played a million times.

I load 1300 Nightfall. There’s no matchmaking. Wish they would remove locked load outs though.

Then find 2 that want to do bounties also. Your making it harder then it actually is.

Spawn in and mop up ads in the vicinity.. Lost Sectors nearby even better!

Speedrunners arent the issue to me, me and my mate get most if not all of our bounties done in 1 strike, maybe 2. The issue is Bungie not giving us the option to have an open or locked activity.. I mean, they did it with the stupid haunted forest thing, they can do the same with strikes. Me personally, I would rather kill everything whilst doing my bounties and completing the strike as efficiently as possible. If I see someone attempting to do bounties, I will let them be.

Strange complaining about fixing a glitch? When I encounter the speed runners I just treat it like it’s become a racing game and try to speed along. Bounties be damned! After so many years you must know all the other tricks mentioned to get bounties done? Sad to hear you want to leave over this. At 70 years old I accept I really can’t compete against most gamers (who’ve been playing since youth & for many years). Still, a bit of fun & challenge here & there. Kids will be kids.

I am 100% one of those guilty parties that smokes everything in my path... when I play my titan. Because it is a lot of fun being that powerful. I do not mean to. I respect other players.. But dunemarchers... 🤷🏻♀️🤦 Saying that... I do not “believe” solo strikes is the answer myself. Bungie needs to balance this game so that we all are needed on the core grind. No.. I do not like and or think the overshieldes overlords is the answer. There is no continuity to them being the answer. But d1 had a great balance that allowed a player to show off their loot, but keep things difficult enough matchmaking worked. We are so much stronger in d2... It is a double edged sword.. I love my titan when I want to feel rewarded in pve. But players like you that are 100% correct per request and or scenario shows the issues in this game.

1 ReplyOn the one hand, why we cant have Firewalled Strikes is beyond me. On the other, I'm not psychic, I dont know if my teammates have challenges to complete. And that goes both ways. Just.... kill faster if you really need to? Most of these strikes are ancient and you should know them pretty intimately by now.

YOU call it a glitch, that you like. Do you know what it actually was? AN ERROR IN CODE DURING AN UPDATE. YOU CANNOT KEEP CODE ERRORS IN PROGRAMMING. THEY COMPOUND AS MORE APPEAR AND CAUSE CRASHES. Do you want the game to stop working? Dont answer that, no one cares if you do. errors need to be repaired.

1 Reply1. You want to do solo strikes, lower your light level so you don't get matched with people who want to play. 2. Builds with infinite grenades and supers? That's not a thing, it was grenadier... As in grenade recharge was increased. Infinite supers isn't a thing, with super energy exotics and masterworked gea they can be quick but never infinite. 3. Speed runners are a issue... You can do this great thing called tollerate it for a strike and then exit matchmaking. 4. You have objectives to complete? You mean seasonal objectives and bounties which don't take that long right? Because they don't take that long, 3 to 4 strikes tops. I'm sorry but strikes have always had matchmaking for a reason... Because they have negative modifiers that effect the game. Do you get speed running plebs? Unfortunately yeah... Do you get bounty spamming, lost sector pleb? Unfortunately yeah, just do what I do and run ahead until you hit a darkness area and kill yourself, forcing them ahead. Do you also get blueberries who are absolutely fantastic? Yup. Do you get that one PvP truhard who is so out of place you stand back in awe? Yup. Do you get some randoms who you could speak with and become friends? Yeah. Strikes are full of surprises. Good and bad. You want to avoid that, lower your light level mate.

Lol. If you're trying to do bounties just load into solo nightfalls and stay in a public area / lost sector... If you're doing 3 strikes for pinnacle, then why wouldn't you want them done asap.

I’m not on playstation anymore but I hear thatsetting time back for the glitch dosent work, and that you need to set time forward. Yeah the glitch was nice, would be great if they added solo queue which is something that’s been asked for for a very long time now. Shit ain’t your fault, strikes are just that ass that people want to speedrun though the content because it’s been in the game for almost 4 years now.

Not trying to be "that guy" but maybe you could just make your own team? Just make a post that says something like "laid back/chill strikes" or something? As a mostly solo player I get not wanting to bother with that sort of thing, just thought I'd suggest it.
