I just purchased the Veist Poison universal ornament set. It turns out that there are parts of every armor piece that is bright green, and none of these can be affected by shaders. Of course being unable to preview these ornaments with shaders meant I had no way to know this. I would like to receive a refund after spending 1500 silver on the set, however that isn’t possible now that it has been opened. I’m hoping for this to reach someone who can help me resolve this.

Once opened, an Eververse item cannot be refunded. Bungie does not provide refunds for Silver purchases.
Bungie does not provide Silver refunds or transfers for any Destiny release.
https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049497091

This won't refund your spent silver, but for future armor ornament purchases you can visit the DestinyFashion sub on reddit and make a request for sets or items with specific shaders to preview before you make another choice to buy next time. And yes I understand one shouldn't have to visit a 3rd party site for a function that ought to already be ingame.

Misleading would be implying that it shaded when it didn't. What they did was sell a set that was exactly as advertised, the error came from your assuming how it would shade. Shaders impact every piece of gear differently. Have to remember when you buy an ornament what you see is what you get, if you don't like it as is don't count on a shader changing it.
