I bought all the Gambit bounties I could in the app while sitting in orbit and watched my glimmer go down on the app. I then looked at my game to see that no bounties were grabbed and my glimmer still dropped. I just wasted about 40k glimmer on vanguard and gambit bounties that I didn't even get. So where did my Glimmer go?? I restarted my app, and restarted my game, but still my glimmer was spent on NOTHING!!?? The app says that I cannot grab any more bounties as the limit is reached, even though on my destiny 2 game there are no bounties in my quest log screen.
This needs to be fixed ASAP, and I believe that I should be refunded my glimmer or even compensated to max glimmer for this glitchy app not working properly. I have many other things I can complain about on this app, but im sure they are already known issues...like xbox friends not showing up on the friends tab of the app.
I wouldn't be complaining about this if it gave my glimmer back to me, but it didn't. I don't care how easy it is to come by glimmer, it's the bigger picture. The glimmer I gained is now lost due to a faulty app...and now I need to spend double the glimmer just to get the bounties I was originally supposed to get.
I'm sure I'm not the only one having this issue. In fact, there's probably a "pool" of hundreds or thousands of bounties that were purchased on the app just sitting in a "void" because they never made it to the players account. What a waste.
Please fix the app, its got a lot of issues. I love destiny 2, and I hate to see how the companion app can ruin the experience.

This happened to me, but I realized that the bounties get sent to a specific character. If you click on the bounty page, at the top, there will be a character select, it will automatically be on 1 character you previously selected. So in my case, I was playing my Hunter, and accidently bought out bounties for my Titan. Make sure when you buy bounties from the app, check if you're on the right character!
