Because the buff runs out as soon as the weapon is stowed, I either feel like I am limited to using it, or that I can't use it, at least not how I want to, until my grenade comes back. Why not give Osmosis weapons an increase in damage while you have it out? For people who spec in grenade recovery, they could really benefit from the perk, and even those that don't spec in it. They throw a nade, get a little more gun damage, and become satisfied enough to possibly keep the gun out until their second nade recharges. We could create entire builds with Osmosis, especially with the new elemental mods! I think it would be an exciting change.
Doesn't have to be max rampage/killclip increases, especially since the perk already gives the gun elemental bullets, but the damage should be somewhere along the realm of, 'good enough that you would want to hold onto the gun for a lot longer, but still would not hesitate to swap to a special cause you need to kill this spun up colossus faster...or maybe you would hesitate a little bit, cause it seems to be doing the trick.' I dunno! I just want the perk to be less situational than it currently is. Bright Dust for your thoughts...
